You wake up on a very pretty snowy day, you briefly look outside to admire the snow gently falling onto the ground. You then get up and look at your calendar, its Evelyn's birthday! You quickly go ahead to do all of your farm work, then come back to tidy yourself up and grab Evelyn's favorite flower, a fairy rose. You then set out to their house...
You get to 1 River Road to which you open the door to be engulfed in a very strong chocolate smell. You walk in to see Alex frantically running around the small kitchen with chocolate batter all over his face and the counters. You set down the flowers and can't help but laugh at the sight.
"Y/N! I didn't think you'd come over right now??" Alex quickly says, you see that he's surprised to see you and gets embarrassed. He then explains that he's trying to make a chocolate cake for Evelyn while she's outside. You offer to help him with the cake which he agrees to, feeling very embarrassed to be caught like this. You grab a napkin and wipe the batter off his face, giving him a kind smile.
You both then bake the cake successfully with your help, and surprise Evelyn with both of your gifts, even George trudged up behind you two with a gift of his own. Alex admits to Evelyn that you helped out with the cake which Evelyn admits that she knew that he couldn't have made it by himself....
After celebrating with some cake and some lighthearted bickering from George, you and Alex step outside to get a breather.
"Seriously, thanks for helping me out with the cake, to be honest I really didn't know what I was doing..I just wanted to surprise Grandma with something nice for her birthday." He chuckles awkwardly and looks away. You are honestly taken aback with his words, normally Alex acts all big and tough, even a little too confident sometimes and to see him like this is weird to you. "It's really no problem, y'know you are really more caring than I thought." you say, while leaning your head on his shoulder smiling to yourself.
"Awh c'mon! I'm not that cocky!" Alex says playfully, shoving you lightly. You both laugh and lean against each other. "Y'know, I don't really like winter that much but, the snow is really peaceful to look at." Alex admits quietly, he then gently grabs your hand and both of you sit down on the steps of the porch. You both then admire how the snow slowly falls down as the sun slowly disappears under the horizon.
