Putting on your jacket, you look at yourself in the mirror, unconsciously checking your hair and your clothes. You were nervous, constantly checking your phone for any texts messages or calls from your boyfriend, Sebastian. You two had just started dating, and you were going to go on your first date, to the movie theater. You two we're going to watch "It Howls In The Rain," which Sebastian insisted you two watch. Popping a stick of gum in your mouth, you anxiously wait for Sebastian to arrive, your foot tapping on the floor anxiously.
*knock knock*
You quickly walk over to the front door, opening it to see Sebastian, dressed more or less the same, but his hair more neat, and smelling faintly of cologne. "Hey Y/N." He says, rubbing the back of his neck. You both hug each other, and you catch a good sniff of his cologne, it was woody. "Are you wearing cologne?" You ask smugly, smiling at him. He blushes, eyes widening, "I-is it too strong?" He asks, returning your gaze worryingly. You shake your head quickly, "No no! It smells good." you say, intertwining your hand with his. As you two walked, you shared small talk, commenting on the cool, fall weather, and on each other's days.
When you two made it to the movie theater, Sebastian pulls the two tickets out of his pockets and you two go inside. The worker at the concession stand greeted the two of you kindly, and you insisted on covering the snacks, ordering your favorite snack/drink and Sebastian a Stardrop Sorbet. After receiving your food, you go inside the movie room. "Let's sit in the back." Sebastian says, holding your hand and leading you down the aisle in to two middle seats more or less in the back. You two settle down and wait for the movie to begin.
Just as the movie is about to start, you hear the door to the movie room open suddenly, you hear familiar giggles and "shhh" sounds coming closer, and when you turn your head you see Sam and Abigail taking their seats two rows in front of you. Sebastian groans, putting his head in his hands. "I shouldn't have told them about our plans." He quietly mutters, and despite being in the dark you can see his embarrassed face. "It's fine Seb, they're probably just here to watch the movie too." You say, trying to reassure him. However, as soon as you two look up, you see Sam and Abigail looking at you two making obnoxious kissy noises in between fits of giggles. Sebastian sinks into his seat, cheeks flushed in embarrassment. You sigh, deciding to ignore his friends and turn your attention to the movie.
The movie starts, and you almost immediately get on edge. (Btw, "It Howls In The Rain" is basically just a Blair Witch Project knockoff) You find yourself unconsciously gripping onto Sebastian's forearm, leaning onto him. He notices this, and contentedly leans onto you as well. Sam and Abigail completely forget why they were there and watch the movie as well, the only sounds coming from them was Sam loudly chewing on his popcorn. As the movie goes on, the tension keeps building, and when the first jump scare occurs, Sam screams so loud that it makes all of you laugh. "You're such a wuss Sam!" Sebastian yells out, laughing his ass off. You and Abigail are also laughing, Abigail bending over clutching her stomach from how hard she's laughing. Sam throws popcorn at you and Sebastian in retaliation, "It was scary!" You laugh some more, leaning back onto Sebastian and putting your head on his shoulder. "That's what he gets for third wheeling on our date." Sebastian says, grabbing your hand and giving it a squeeze.
Almost at the near end of the movie, you look over at Sebastian, meeting his gaze. "What's wrong?" You whisper, squeezing his hand. He shakes his head, looking at you with a small smile. "Nothing, I'm just really happy being here with you." He says, whispering back. You feel your cheeks get hot, and turn your head away, making Sebastian chuckle. You put your head back onto his shoulder, and he presses a kiss to the top of your head. Looking down, you see Sam gripping onto Abigail's arm, basically wrapped around her. Abigail is tense, but slowly eating what's left of Sam's popcorn. You smile, deciding to bring your attention back to the movie.
Once the movie ended, you leave the theater with Sebastian, running into Sam and Abigail and once again making fun of Sam's high pitched screams. It is pitch black outside, besides the streetlights and the glow of the moon. "Sam they should cast you in the next horror movie, you're girly screams are perfect for that." Sebastian says, playfully shoving Sam. "Shut up Seb." Sam says, cheeks red from embarrassment. Abby giggles and comes up next to you, "Sooo, how was your first date?" She asks, smiling brightly at you. "Well, besides you two third wheeling, it was pretty good." You say back, watching Sam and Sebastian tussle in front of you guys. "Well, I should be heading home, I don't want dad to notice that I'm gone." Abigail says, sheepishly giggling. "Bye Abby!" You say, waving her goodbye. She runs off, waving back at you guys. Sam struggles to wrestle Sebastian off him, finally admitting defeat, to Sebastian's content. "I'm gonna go home too, I gotta work tomorrow." Sam says, defeatedly. You and Sebastian say goodbye and watch him walk off. "I'll walk you home Y/N." You try to protest by Sebastian insists, grabbing your hand and leading you back up the mountains to your farm. "I don't want any monsters to get you." Sebastian says jokingly, to which you sigh.
Once you two reach your farm, you unlock your front door with your keys. "Thanks for tonight, Seb, I had a lot of fun." You say, turning around to face him. He smiles at you, "Me too." "Be careful heading home ok?" You say, hugging him. "I will." He says, before using his hand to tilt up your face, giving you a kiss.
"Goodnight Y/N." He says, before walking off your porch and heading home, leaving you dumbfounded on your porch. You quickly shut your front door and text him on your phone.
