Requested by: @TheFaithful0neA/N: Heyy, just a warning, there's heavy drinking throughout this oneshot, mentions of puking, and a slight implication of suicide around the middle. But don't worry it's still fluffy none sense. Kk love you guys 😘

"Good evening Y/N! Can I get you anything?" You hear Gus say as you enter the Saloon, the smell of homemade food and alcohol hitting your nose. You close the door behind you, waving at him. You quickly find your way to the bar, sitting right in front of Gus. "Can I get a glass of beer/wine please." is all you say, giving him a forced smile. Gus looks at you for a moment, seemingly understanding you've had a rough day and quietly nods before going to pour you your drink. You have had a rough day today, including a slew of mishaps mixed with daily chores and so on. You simply didn't want to think about it, and bless Yoba that Gus took the hint and didn't ask.
...
"Y/N, would you like anything to eat? I'm worried that so much alcohol is going to upset your stomach." Gus says, with a concerned look on his face. You wave dismissively at him, going back to your half empty glass of beer/wine. You are pretty drunk at this point, and chug the remaining alcohol in your glass. Gus sighs and gently takes your glass from you. "Y/N, I think you should start heading home for tonight." He says, before adding, "If you want you can wait till I close up and I can walk you home?" You look up and shake your head, and insist that you we're fine to go home on your own. You slowly stand up from your seat, wobbling a little. Before Gus could say anything, you make your way out of the Saloon, holding your head groggily with your hand. The night breeze hits you gently as you step outside, looking up to see an almost full moon in the sky. One thing about the valley that you really like is how clear the night sky is, since you are so far away from the city, every single star in the sky is visible and it is truly a beautiful sight. You stumble your way to Cindersap Forest, deciding to take the south route to your farm. Once you cross the bridge to the familiar forest, you realize just how dark it is, and you being drunk is not helping. Before you knew it, you were lost.
...
Shane grumbles as he walks the familiar way back the Marnie's Ranch. Morris had held him back at work, making him stay just an extra 5 hours. Yippee. By the time that Shane had managed to leave work, he figured that it was too late to go to Saloon, and just decided to head home. As he entered Cindersap Forest, he was about to unlock his front door when he heard something in the woods. Now on edge, Shane turns around and looks into the forest, and doesn't see anything. He, against his gut feeling, decides to turn on his phone flashlight and head towards Leah's Cabin, because common sense would be that she's probably making some kind of sculpture this late at night. Yeah, definitely.
Once he makes it to the cabin, and sees that the lights are turned off, Shane shrugs, deciding that he's hearing things, and right as he turns around he hears it again, but this time it sounds like hiccuping. Again, against his gut feeling, decides to walk further into the woods to investigate. He doesn't know why he's so intrigued, but he decides to keep going. He keeps walking, hearing the noises get louder until he reaches the cliff, where he sees you.
You're sitting on the cliff's edge, hiccuping every once in a while because of how drunk you are. You're staring up at the night sky, seemingly not aware of Shane's presence behind you. "Y/N? Y/N what are you doing?" Shane says, the worst case scenario flashing in his mind. "Hm? Shane?" You ask, turning your head. Shane is slowly approaching you, mentally preparing himself if you jump. "Y/N you don't have to do this." He says, looking very concerned at you. You look at him confused, "What are you talking about?" You ask, slurring your words slightly. Shane, finally realizing that your drunk, calms down a little. "Can you...can you just get away from the ledge, please?" He asks hesitantly, still slowly approaching you. You, still very confused, stand up, and with a little help from Shane, get yourself away from the ledge, opting for a spot a few feet away.
"Shane, Shane look at the sky, isn't it pretty?" You say, plopping yourself back onto the grass, patting the spot next to you. He hesitantly sits down next to you and looks up at the sky. "...Yeah, it is." He says, looking at all the stars and the moon. "It's my favorite part about being away from the city." You add, unconsciously putting your head on his shoulder. Shane visibly tenses, a small blush forming on his face, but he slowly begins to relax. "I guess I never thought to look up at the sky before." He says, not being able to remember the last time he looked at the night sky. Usually, by the time night came around, he was in the Saloon, getting drunk off his mind, and is barely able to stumble home before going to bed. Shane picks up his phone, which had been dropped when he saw you on the ledge and checks the time, it was almost 11:00 pm. He sighs, looking over at you and your delighted face, looking up at the sky. 'Just a few more minutes' he thought.
...
*throwing up sounds idk*
Shane is woken up to you puking your guts out on the patch of grass next to him. It seems that he had dozed off stargazing with you. He quickly sits up and rubs your back, "You ok Y/N?" You finish puking, gasping for air. "Yeah...yeah I'm good." You say, pushing your hair out of your face. You back away from the puke on the grass (poor grass) and face Shane, embarrassment shown on your face. "I'll walk you home." Shane says, giving you a small, concerned smile. He grabs his phone, which now reads 12:15 am, and offers you a hand. You take his hand and the two of you start the walk home. "I should've listened to Gus.." you mumble out, Shane takes the hint and chuckles. "He's always telling me the same shit too." He says, trying to be empathetic. "How can you hold your alcohol so well?" You ask, giving him a annoyed look. Shane shrugs, "I don't know, I guess I'm just used to it." The two of you make your way back home in a comfortable silence, besides you tripping a few times on branches and what not and Shane having to keep you from falling on your face.
...
"Here we are." Shane says, stepping up onto your porch with you. "Thanks Shane." You say, squeezing your eyes shut from your porch lamp. "No problem Y/N." He says, giving you a small smile. You slowly open your eyes, and are finally able to see Shane clearly. "Y'know, your 5 o'clock shadow really suits you." You say impulsively, winking at him. Shane is shocked by the sudden confidence, and doesn't say anything, just look at you with big eyes. "Good night Shane, see you soon." You say, opening your front door and heading inside. "Yeah, yeah good night." He says, rubbing the back of his neck with a flushed face. You smile at him before closing the door, leaving him outside wondering what the hell just happened.
Easy to say you're gonna make some more frequent trips to the Saloon, but not for alcohol, but for a certain grumpy man named Shane.
