The bus quickly pulled over and Deena ran out of the bus and over to the car. Kate, Simon, and I ran after her after Kate closed the door. It took us a minute to find them, when we arrived Sam was sitting on this red moss and Deena was sitting with her. Simon ran over to them and I followed close behind but Kate was hesitant. When we got closer I could see that Sam was bleeding quite a lot and had a nosebleed similar to Deena.

"Oh shhit," Simon said as he kneeled in front of her

"Okay we should not be down here.." Kate said standing a bit behind Simon

"Shut up and help me carry her." Deena refuted

"Okay we need to leave.. like ten minutes ago" Kate said impatiently

"Give us a sec Kate." I said as I turned to face her

"We may not have a second if the cops are already on their way."

"We need to clear her airways..." Simon said getting closer to Sam

Deena smacked Simons hand out of the way.

"Hey, I got this." He said to Deena "I got this." He repeated but this time to Sam reassuringly "How many fingers am I holding up?" He said while holding up 3 fingers in front of her face.

"Three." She responded

"See she's fine-" Just as he finished his sentence Sam coughed up some blood and it splattered all over Simon's shirt and I also noticed a bit got on Deena's shoe as well.

"Oh my god.. did someone call an ambulance??" I asked as I grabbed Sam's shoulder

"I'm sure someone did, look-" Just before Kate could finish her sentence I heard sirens in the distance.

"Awesome." Kate said sarcastically

Sam's boyfriend, who Deena mentioned his name was Peter, and his friend got out of his car. Just before they could say anything to us however a few EMTs found us and helped carry Sam out of the woods and they loaded her into an ambulance. Deena turned to Simon, Kate, and I and told us what story to go with. Sheriff Goode questioned us one by one to try and get all of the details. 

"Suck it, pig." I overheard Simon say before walking over to me.

"You're up, good luck." He said walking over to Kate

"What's your name?" Sheriff Goode asked

"Y/N Y/L/N"

"Alright, can you tell me what happened here?" He asked

"Well there was a car accident" I said

"The driver mentioned something about the emergency door being opened? Did you see it opened?" He questioned

"Mmm nope." I responded shortly

"Look maybe it was just an accident, you guys were fooling around and it got out of hand-" 

"I told you I didn't see it open." I said, I then coughed and said under my breath "pig."

"Alright, that's all I needed. You're free to go." He dismissed me and I joined Kate and Simon as he questioned Deena.

After he finished speaking with Deena he started to head back to his car and Peter gave Deena a not so friendly looking hug before joining Sam in the ambulance and driving off. We all got back on the bus and when we got back to the school we all got into our cars. Simon stopped me before I got into my car.

"What a night huh?" He sarcastically 

"You can say that again.."

"What a night huh? Anyway, can I stay at yours tonight? I have a double shift early tomorrow and I'm worried I'm gonna sleep through my alarm if you don't wake me up.."

"Oh yeah, I bet you're worried about "sleeping through your alarm.""

"Wha- I am!" He responded in a playful tone

"Yeah, that's fine, my aunt is working a night-shift anyways so I'd rather not be home alone."

"Alright, I'll follow you then." He said before kissing my forehead and heading back to his car.

The next morning Simon got up early and put on the same clothes from last night

"You're gonna wear your blood stained t-shirt to work?" I said while half awake

"It's all I have! Plus I'm gonna wear my jacket over it no one will even know!" He said as he zipped up his jacket. "Ta da!" He said

"Alright, whatever.." I said as I rolled over, I use Saturdays to sleep in, not debate my boyfriend's questionable outfit decisions. He kissed the back of my head and headed off to the store. After about another hour of sleeping I finally got up and had breakfast, then I turned on my TV and saw Ryan Torres' face on the news.

"Still so crazy that he would do something like that." My aunt Cass said startling me

"Jesus Aunt Cass."

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you, just headed back to work-"

"Day and night shifts now?" I interrupted

"It is Shadyside, you can never have too many nurses.. and we need the money."

"Yeah, It is pretty weird that he would do something like that." I said changing the subject

"I mean we knew the kid, he seemed like a normal guy... I always makes you wonder if maybe all that witch shit is real." She said before walking out the door

I didn't believe in the "witch shit" but it would explain why a guy like Ryan would just snap like he did. Thinking about that did remind me of last night and I decided to give Deena a call. I went over to my kitchen and dialed her number.

"Hello?" A male voice answered

"Oh hey Josh, is Deena not up yet?" I liked Josh he was a little younger than Deena and I but he was a cool guy and he was also hardcore crushing on Kate which Simon and I like to tease him about from time to time

"Nah, she might be up soon but I doubt it. Try calling again she might answer from the phone in her room."

"Alright I'll try, thanks Josh....oh by the way how are you and Kate doing?"

"Goodbye Y/N." He said hanging up. I laughed for a second before calling Deena again

"Hello?" She answered

"Hey Deena, It's Y/N, how are you doing?"

"I'm fine. I appreciate you calling but I'm just gonna head back to bed." 

"Alright that's fine, call me tomorrow we can hang out, you me, and Kate."

"Yeah, maybe, bye Y/N" I understood why she needed space, you can't force someone to talk to you about their feelings I guess.
