Simon and I walk through the metal detectors and I start walking to my first class but Simon pulls me aside.

"Hey, we actually need to make a quick pit stop at the bathroom, Kate should be meeting us there in a few."

I said alright and we start walking down the hall, Simon has his arm around me and we make our way to the girls bathroom. As we're walking we spot Kate and Deena making their way over as well. Simon and I run into the bathroom, find a stall and wait.

"She reaches from beyond the grave to make good men her wicked slaves.." We hear Kate say and as she just barely finishes her sentence Simon jumps out of the stall.

"She'll take your blood!"

"Simon!" Deena exclaimed

"She'll take your head." I say as I also jump out of the stall

"She'll follow you until you're deadddd" Simon finished the rhyme trying to be as spooky as possible. 

"Wooooow you guys are dicks." Deena said while placing her bag on the ground and resting against the bathroom sink

"It's just fun." Kate said in a joking manor

"It's sick." Deena said

"What? The dude was wearing a Halloween skull mask how is that not fun??" Simon said putting his arm around me and using his other arm to rest against the stall.

"People died. Heather died. The "dude" was probably just some sad sack who hated his life just like the rest of us, except he decided "hey why don't I get out of here for good?" and "hey why don't I take Heather and a couple other mall rats with me?" There's no angry dead witch that made him go crazy, the only thing that made him go crazy was this town." Deena finished her sentence and I think everyone in that bathroom could tell that this was about more than what happened at the mall.

"Are you okay?" I asked and by the looks of it Kate was just about to ask the same thing.

"Yeah, I'm fine" She clearly wasn't but I wasn't going to push right now.

"Seems like maybe you've got a little witch in you too.." Simon said sarcastically

"Dude, why are you even in here? This is the GIRLS bathroom." Deena said

"I also would like to know the answer to this." I said 

Simon climbed on top of the toilet seat and grabbed a box from the air vent above the stall

"Candy store.."

"You know we don't believe in this witch shit right?" Kate said while fixing her hair in the mirror

"Yeah, it's just like fucked up Santa Claus or something." I added, after I said that I heard Simon add a few ho ho ho's in the background 

"What's this?" Kate said as Deena handed her a highly decorated box

"I need you to give this to Sam for me.." She said with a slight pleading look on her face

"No way Deena." Kate said looking from the box to Deena

"Y/N?" She turned to me and asked

"Sorry Deena but I'm not going to get mixed up in your ex drama." I said as I gave her an apologetic look

"You're a big girl, do it yourself." Kate added

"I'm not going to the game, I quit band." Deena said 

"What? Since when?" I asked, this was news to me as I thought this was the last extra curricular she had left

"Since who gives a shit?"

"Was that the last extra curricular you had?" Kate asked

Deena gave a slight shrug indicating that it was.

"Well you still have your uniform right?" I asked 

Deena nodded

"Just go to the game with us tonight and give it to Sam then." I finished

"I've got something that will give you the balls to face Sam.." Kate said as she opened the box to reveal several different prescriptions.

"What? You're dealing again?! I thought you stopped after this dingus' brother OD."  Deena exclaimed as she looked at the bottles

"Timothy?" Simon asked

"I mean technically Timmy wasn't a real OD.." I said

"Exactly, they brought him back." Kate said

Simon took his arm from around my shoulders and imitated epi-pens being used.

"You guys are morons." Deena stated as she walked towards the door

"Excuse me? Which one of us is valedictorian? And president of every club this shithole has to offer? I'm getting out of here I'm off to claim my place among the stars bitch." Kate said as we exited the bathroom

As we left I saw a guy running through the halls dragging along a dummy on a rope

"WOOOO THE WITCH LIVES LONG LIVE SARAH FIER" He exclaimed while maneuvering around people in the halls

"YEAH!" Simon yelled as he passed us

"Andddd on that note I'm off to class, I'll see you guys at the game tonight, probably at the meeting the coach is having with us before then too." I said as Simon gave me a kiss goodbye and I walked off to class.

Okay hi again I just wanted to quickly say that this is the first story I've ever written on here and I'm in my trial and error stage at the moment so if you want i'm totally open to any constructive criticism you might have and I promise my chapters will be longer than the first one I didn't realize how short it was until I posted it. Anyways hope you enjoyed this chapter and things will be getting more intense soon I promise :) -the author
