Warning: mentioned murder

"Alright, that should be the final box," Nikei panted, handing the last box from Setsuka's car to Mikado. The wizard put it in a stable place on top of a couple other boxes, and the group of three decided to sit and have a moment to rest.

They had managed to successfully contact the landlord of the house they wanted and rent it out, and after a lot of paperwork to both get the house and to transfer their living space from the dorm, they were finally moving their things in. The trio had a mutual agreement that even if their relationship didn't end well, they wouldn't just kick someone out of the house with nowhere to go.

"Let's take a break for now, we can unpack everything later," Setsuka sighed as she leaned back against the wall. "Kado, don't even think of getting up for lunch, you've been working hard too. I'll just order something," she told him sternly, getting a whimper from the exhausted wizard.

Nikei looked around the living room, where all of their boxes were piled up. "We did it though, we finished unpacking everything. Your car's locked up, I've got the key to the house...right, we'll need to make a couple spare keys for you guys," he reminded himself as he pulled out his notepad and wrote that down on a new page.

As Setsuka ordered lunch to be delivered to their house, Mikado moved closer to Nikei. "Well, at least we're in our third year of school now. It's only been a week or so, but we only have to deal with things for one more year!" the wizard happily proclaimed, keeping his voice low so he didn't disturb his girlfriend. "One more year, and then we won't have to deal with annoying police sirens going off at Utsuro-knows-when in the mornings!"

Setsuka hung up the phone and looked over at her boys. "Speaking of which, why the hell were there police sirens going off last night? Did something happen?" she questioned. "Nothing's popping up on social media when I try to check."

"According to the chatter I heard while grabbing the mail, there apparently was an attempted death game, and the fire alarm got tripped by someone. A redhead chick was apparently killed, and there might be two people behind this," Nikei explained, flipping to another page in his notepad. "The one who tripped the alarm and called the cops is supposedly missing, there's no evidence on the campus security footage, and the school might be suppressing the incident. Well, my job is to find the truth, so I've got a busy day today. I'll find every last clue and put it into an article!"

"Yeah, you can do that after you catch your breath and have some food," Setsuka chuckled. "I know that your work is important, but even you have your limits."

"Right, right." Nikei chuckled as he looked down at his notepad, but on the inside, he was thinking about what lead he should start with for his article.

He had begun his investigation by asking the actual witnesses of the incident, though he had to crawl through a couple vents to get to the spot where they were being kept. The Steering Committee apparently didn't want them to spill the truth to everyone. After talking to a couple people overtaken by panic and grief, getting nowhere, he spoke to a level-headed girl named Kiriko Nishizawa.

"A-And then... And then that girl shot Kotomi!" Kiriko cried as Nikei wrote everything down into his notepad.

"Kotomi Ikuta, right? She was the Ultimate Farmer and the Student Council's vice president, if I recall correctly," the journalist answered as he made a small section is his notebook to record details of the victim, then started making a section for the culprit. "Do you know the name of the one who shot her?"
