"So, you're saying he got kidnapped by some giant black hand that protruded out of nowhere." Albedo questioned. Lumine slowly nodded in affirmation, and Albedo's expression clouded over.
"But I know where it came from! The voices came from the direction of Liyue! If we go there, we might find him!" Lumine tried to cheer him up. And it was true. She'd heard the voices coming from the direction of Liyue. Surely, they would find a clue or two if they headed there. Maybe even find Aether himself.
"I'd love to say that you can go, but Aether's job has been left undone. Completed it should be before you head to find him." a gruff voice sounded from the door way. It was a man with flaming red hair, Prince Diluc of the Ragnvindr imperial family.
"And what job is more important than my brother?" Lumine snapped but Venti stepped in between, waving his hands to stop them from fighting.
"Now, now, lets hear him out first, shall we?" Venti turned to the prince. "Speak of your wish, Prince Diluc, and granted it shall be if we deem it important enough."
"A human trafficking group has been selling humans in an area nearby. The auction is in the party of a noble - Hunningham, this evening. The people invited are unknowing of the fact that they will be his next victims. Only a handful are the buyers. He has apparently succeeded in a collaboration with an evil organisation of schemers from Snezhnaya, known as the Fatui. Foil their plan, and bring the ringleaders to me. Written on this card are the details. I expect results." Diluc passed them an envelope, in which the card was probably placed.
"What the hell." Lumine flopped down on the floor. Her brother was gone and Diluc didn't even care? He just cared about getting his work done.
"He's a bad prince. A very bad one." Albedo remarked, and Lumine had to agree with him.
"Now, now, things like this shall be done with in a jiffy! And then we can head to Liyue right away! I also have a great friend in Liyue who can help us with the search. So, don't you worry, we'll find your brother soon enough!" Venti smiled widely. His happiness was contagious and Lumine felt a small smile creep up on her face as well.
"Thats right. Let us wait for evening, so we may swiftly end this and head to the land of trade and commerce." Kazuha smiled calmly. Lumine nodded.
"Around this time, its the Lantern Rite festival in Liyue, so we can have tons of fun while we're there!" Venti had a cheerful expression on his face.
"We're not going there to play, you dumb kid." Lumine lightly punched his head.
"Lantern Rite. What year is it again?" Albedo finally spoke. What was he even saying? It definitely wasn't normal but considering the fact that he'd lived in the mountains for quite some time, maybe it was.
"Its XXXX. Wait, how much time did you live for in the mountains?" Venti asked. Albedo pondered the question.
"Eleven, I guess." he replied. Lumine was shocked. Very shocked.
"Stop looking at me like that. Lets just start preparing for whatever the heck we're gonna do in the evening." Albedo was annoyed by everyone staring at him.
"Ok, listen up you unusual brats, I have a plan." Lumine started.
