Agnarr POV

"Agnarr stop." I looked in her majesty's eyes, clearly bored at the conversation we were having.

"For goodness sake this is a party, we can talk more tomorrow." She waved it off, I reluctantly nodded and noticed something starts to spark in her eyes.

"They looked very well together. Don't you think?" She coyly asked, I glanced around and stopped.

Who do you think she meant Agnarr, Think.

I glared back, she ignored my stares and tottered away.

"Aren't you coming?"

I nodded as I scanned the area for any familiar faces. It would have been better to follow Brianna to make it seem I am preoccupied, I didn't want to face the isles.

"Why aren't you talking? This event is specifically set to mingle around."

"There is no reason for me to."

"Oh please. Don't be such a party pooper." She huffed and stopped in her tracks, her lips curled up and she looked at me mischievously.

"So how is your fiancé?"

"Much fine."

"I hope she is feeling better, so when is the royal wedding?"

There won't be a wedding if there isn't a willing bride.

"Not anytime soon." I grunted.

"I hope your fiancé won't mind." She winked at me flirtatiously and pulled me towards her.

"What are you doing." I growled as she gave a slight bow.

"Seriously Agnarr. You have known me for years." She pointed her eyes to others around her, the band started as she placed her arms around mine.

"You have changed much since I last saw you." We slowly swayed to the music as she sifted a laugh.

"Please! I haven't changed one bit." She rolled her eyes, though I felt a slight change of her tone, a much sadder one.

"So tell me. Did you happen to read my private letter?"

"Yes." Her eyes then darted at me in a mocking manner. Seemingly trying to imply something else.

Are you still interested in her?

"It was addressed to me." I quickly reminded her as her brows rose.

"That little spot for your name. I am in awe that you could read it."

I refused to reply to the sarcasm.

Gears stopped moving in my head, seemingly stuck at a checkpoint. I just realised that Brianna had more means to send a letter to Iduna herself and send her to Hastigaths. Why did she involve me in the first place?

She didn't just-

She is Brianna of Hastigaths. She could do anything, remember?

Suddenly Brianna swept away and another hand came to my grasp, I immediately grabbed hold of the dance and adapted to its fast pace.

A Hastigaths country dance, known for its cheery and quick movements.

"Sorry!" I turned my head and saw an inelegant Iduna, and she was coming my way.

I felt her grasp as she slit passed me, the music stopped abruptly as I pulled her towards my arms. I felt a slight pain numbing in my head, a voice reached out to me.
