Iduna POV

Knocking on his door. I paced around the hallway, hoping that he would be in.

"Miss Bessford?" The door opened halfway as Enzo stood by the door, his body slouching by the frame.

"Iduna." I corrected him, "Are you free right now?" Peeking pass him, his room looks rather neat.

His hands instinctually close the door, my eyes darted down pretend I did not invade his privacy. "Uh. Yes. Is there anything I could be an assistance with?" My head snapped up, smiling like a 12 years old gal receiving some chocolate.

"Yes yes. I have to go intown."

"In this weather?" He looked out the window, it wasn't snowing heavily but it was days ago, imagine the temperature and snow out there.

"I need to take in fresh air. Cold weather does it sufficient." I explained, he then scratched his head, hesitating to believe what I said.

"If you say so. Give me some moments. I will be out in a jiffy." I nodded as he retreated back.

I felt uneasy since the moment when Brianna headed out. The intruder is still out in the open and there is a possibility that he is targeting her.

I wasn't allowed to follow her because of my sprain. Ha! If that's going to stop me. Anyways I still have to visit the chocolatier, I have sweets to get.

But I need someone out with me. With my sprain, I doubt I could even reach intown before sunrise. I wanted to ask Daisy with me, but I know she would be adamant for me to stay in bed. So I asked Enzo, we could spend some time together before we leave Hastigaths.

We headed out on foot as I didn't want extra expense from Enzo, he did try negotiating heading back by carriage.

"Thank you. I do have quite a soft spot for Hastigaths sweets, you should try some." I said.

"I am not much of a sweet tooth. But I do indulge in bitter-sweet chocolate." We entered the shop, thankfully the queue wasn't as long as the last time I visited.

"Do you know that chocolate came from the very south? It comes from a nut, from a tree."

"A tree? I always thought it came from the soils."

"Good evening, what can I do with y'all lovies." The lady at the counter chirped.

"Those fruity sweets. And do you have chocolate?" I asked as she ducked under and resurfaced with one bag.

"The store is pretty empty." Enzo remarked.

"That's because Queen Brianna came by today and almost brought all of our goods. So no chocolate sweetie." She handed me the bag of plenty sweets. Frowning, I looked up at the lady and back at the bag of sweets.

"Tis is from our secret menu missus. So it's always in stock for our most valued customers." She smiled as I paid up.

Well, aren't I lucky to get one?

"Try it." We were heading by the forest trail as I passed some to Enzo.

"What made you their most valued customer?" He rose his brows, taking longer strides to be ahead.

"Some kindness." I quipped, grinning at the resting spot we stood by.

"Every place has their perfect spot." I slowly wobbled towards the log as I crouched to settle myself. I took in a deep breath, absorbing and enjoying the taste of nature around me. Hastigaths isn't just all about colors.

"You know. I named some tree, what is it called? Pungent.... Barf."

"Pungent Barf?"

"Just Barf. He gave off some earthy scent." I fondly remembered, when was the last time I visited Barf?
