A/n I'm going to try to make this chapter longer and I may post multiple chapters today since I have a lot of time :)

Entering my shop, I replace the flowers on my desk and go to the back to throw them away. Since I was closed I had nothing to do so I took my favorite book and started to read. It was an adventure book about a woman who cut her hair to join the battlefield with many men. She had trained for years for this day and was one of the best warriors. She was quickly promoted to General with her skills. But of course, if it wasn't for the help of her friend, the princess, she wouldn't have been able to make it legal for women to join the army. After much fighting over the matter, the general revealed her true identity as the 2nd hand woman of the Princess. She expected to be hated by her underlings but instead, they cheered her name and helped her fight for the right of the women. Not many liked this book. Men found it disgusting that women were portrayed as powerful.

I skimmed through the book and as the sun had disappeared and the moon rose, a pale blue sea swam above my shop. As I went to put the book back into its area, a deep voice from beside me rumbled.

'may I look at that one?'

A tall, broad figure gave out its hand. Without thought, I slowly gave the person the book only to realize my shop was closed. I pull my hand back and ask

'sir, not to be rude but I'm afraid my shop is closed and you shouldn't be here.'

that's when I first glimpsed his cloud white eyes, or rather the eyes of his mask. They almost seemed to give off light in the darkening shop. He dropped his hand.

'maybe another time then' he said whilst turning around and starting to leave. I huffed a sigh

'I guess one book won't hurt' I say walking to the counter and placing the book on it,

'feel free to browse the books here sir'

He walks over to the counter, I only just noticed the red cape he wore around his shoulders. It's the Knight Niki was talking about. I hoped this didn't mean anything for my future. The tall figure put 5 silver coins on the table, 5!
'Oh no, sir that's way too much this book only costs 12 shillings for buying and 8 for renting!' I say in a panicked tone
'Don't worry, keep it' he says in his monotone voice
It was nice meeting you' he says as he leaves me and the coins as the sky gets darker.
