Summary: again, two best friends, but here they are all adults, aware of their own feelings. They find their way to each other when they decide to have 2 days long retreat in the mountainsThe scientists are saying that if you manage to be friends for 7 years, then this friendship will last a lifetime. It's a good point, you think, but it saddens you a little the fact that they don't talk about how the possibility of developing a crush on your best friend through those 7 years becomes even bigger.
Also, the scientists don't talk about how to deal with this crush, and that's another point that makes you really angry about those scientists and their discoveries.
And still, here you're, celebrating your 7th friendship anniversary on a spontaneous trip to nowhere.
You know, it's very easy to inspire Chan to do some dumb shit. Those 7 years of friendship showed you a lot, his undying enthusiasm, his inhuman energy and excitement towards the things he found interesting. And of course, it wasn't a surprise when literally a day ago he stumbled upon your dms, sending you a sappy photo of two people holding hands, a quote shinning above their heads:
"If a friendship lasts longer than 7 years, psychologists say it'll last forever."
Then there was another picture with a quote slightly different:
"If a friendship lasts longer than 7 years, you are no longer just friends, you're family."
He then sent an "it's us" message, making you throw your phone on the floor and silently scream into your favourite sofa pillow.
You knew he was that soft and emotional and excited, but what happened next came beyond your expectations.

"Let's go on a road trip together."At that point, you were already gone, sprawled on your carpet in the living room, staring blankly at your phone screen while he was bombarding you with messages.
From @annoyingbang
I SPECIFICALLY sat down and counted the days
Annnd, it's our 7th friendship anniversary in a day
Like, literally, we've been friends for 7 years
Can't believe itYou couldn't believe it, too, but he didn't need to know that.
From @annoyingbang
Sooo, I thought, maybe do a road trip?
To the mountains?
Of course, it'll be faster to go there by train
And we are going to spend 10 hours driving
But, look, dear, I think it's worth itEven though 7 years of friendship, you didn't get used to the pet names that were occasionally slipping from his tongue.
From @annoyingbang
You can take a break from your project, I'll take a few days off from work
We'll ride the car, listen to some good music, TALK BECAUSE I MISS HAVING JUST NORMAL CONVERSATIONS WITH YOU, eat hot dogs from the gas stations and book a room at that small hotel under the mountainHonestly, it was everything you've ever wanted, and you felt a pang of annoyance because it wasn't fair how he knew all your soft spots and was able to press on them so effectively.
But yeah, of course, you agreed. What else could you do?
And now, sitting in the Jeep you rented, tapping on the wheel thoughtlessly while waiting for Chan to fill the gas and buy some coffee, you are slowly falling for it.
The weather is a little cold and gloomy. The forest on both sides of the road is still a little green, even though September is already ending. The playlist Chan turned is so comforting and soul-touching you can't help but smile through a few first tracks.
