Disclaimer: Alex = y/n (I'm just tired of writing from the second person)
Savage. The best way to describe Felix (in Alex's opinion) is savage. Bold, confident, a little cocky. Smart, a know-it-all. Pretty.
Felix isn't ashamed to wear long hair extensions. It literally kills Alex when they come to the branding class one morning, expecting to see a familiar head with short ashy hair behind the desk in front of them, but is met with long, perfectly straight greyish strands that fall on their desk every time Felix changes his sitting position.
Felix wears make up, colours his lips in those pretty red and slightly orange shades, making Alex almost droll on their notes when those lips smile at them with a kind "hey".
Felix is bold enough to raise his hand and ask questions when he doesn't understand what the professor is saying. He's not afraid to show that something or someone is annoying. Felix doesn't seem to care about what others think of him.
Felix seems free. Pretty and savage. And Alex lives for that, for those branding classes and kind, but meaningless 'hey's and 'how are you's from time to time.
Alex is just happy that Felix knows they exist. They have a crush, obviously, but they don't hope for anything. Felix is too pretty and too savage and too far away. Their universes can't collide.
Until, one day comes, and Alex starts to question it.
On Wednesday, Felix decides to sit next to them.
"Hey, how is it going?"
Familiar kind voice, familiar reddish smile from the reddish lips, familiar question with familiar answer. Alex's heart almost doesn't speed up, being used to this interaction, "Good, you?"
Felix smiles at that (if it's possible to smile even more than he's smiling right now), but still keeps standing next to Alex's desk. "Perfect," he announces and beams. (BEAMS!)
Usually, Alex doesn't look at Felix's face longer than for 3 seconds (they count seconds every time just not to be too obvious with the staring). And they already spent those 3 seconds, choosing to look through their notes instead, just to occupy themselves with something, anything!
But Felix's quiet smile and standing makes them glance up. And for the first time in so many months Alex notices that Felix is STIFF.
Pretty and savage Lee Felix is stiff, and smiles awkwardly and plays with the rings on his small hands, and Alex doesn't know what to do with that discovery.
"Are- Is everything okay?"
"Y-yeah," Felix nods too enthusiastically and slowly exhales. "I just- Can I sit next to you? The sit isn't taken, is it?.."
"Yes?.."
"Then, can I?.."
Alex hopes Felix can't see the way THEIR hands are now shaking, "Sure."
So, that Wednesday Felix sits next to Alex. They don't talk much, Felix asks for a word he didn't hear and Alex whispers it too him, receiving a grateful smile in return. Closer to the end of the class, Felix silently places a small chocolate candy on Alex's messy papers and shrugs it off when Alex tries to thank him.
That night Alex needs 2 hours to fall asleep and not 30 regular minutes. They can't help but glance at the candy's wrapper that is now glued to the wall above their head. Alex thinks about a lot of things during those 2 hours, but the most important thing they settle with is, maybe, their and Felix's universes are much closer than it seemed.
