***CLOVE'S POV ***
Two peacekeepers lead me to a room. It has red and white furniture and looks like the Capitol. I sit on the red sofa and think, " He promised! Why would he do this? Maybe he rally truly doesn't love me? No, he has to love me and I know he does. He wouldn't buy me an amazing gift if he didn't. So he does love me, but now he ruined everything. We are going into the arena together and only one comes out. I know Cato will make sure I will come home. The truth is if he dies in the arena, I want to die too." My mother comes in with tears in her eyes. I run up to her and give her a hug. Dont cry, I tell myself. She grabs my shoulders and looks me in the eye, " You can do this, I need you. Please come home. You are strong enough to win, so use your strength"
"What about Cato?" Talia bursts through the door,
"Don't let him distract you!" Talia says. I give my mom a kiss and a hug, but before she leaves I tell her ' I love you' This might be the last time I ever see her.
"Remember your training, dont get distracted, and go to the survival stations" I frown at the last thing she says. Why do I have to listen to her, I will listen to my mentor.
"And remember listen to your mentor, they will help you make people like you so you get sponsers." I nod at what she says. She pulls me in a hug then whispers, "Good luck," then she leaves.
***CATO'S POV**
I feel so bad. I broke my promise to Clove. She wont even look at me know, even after we said our goodbyes I tried to hug her, but she moved out of the way. I need to talk to her in private, we can't talk now because Eliza is in right next to us. It's time to meet our mentor, I hope it's Brutus. He is my favorite victor, I look up to him. To bad I will have to die. The door opens and our mentors not mentor, there is two of them, which is odd. They are Brutus and Enobaria, the most famous victors ever. Enobaria ripped out a guys throat with her teeth! It turns out Brutus is my mentor and Enobaria is Clove's.They ask us what we can do and we both reply what we can do proudly. They seem impressed, I just hope Brutus doesn't get upset when I die.
