"I really think green is your colour." Hope beamed, painting the forest green nail polish onto Olivia's nails. Olivia chuckled along with Natasha, who was painting Wanda's nails a scarlet red. Olivia held up her hand and showed the nails to the two redheads, who nodded with approval.
"Looking good, sweetie." Natasha grinned.
"Okay but how do you even do the hair in a plait?" An hour into the girls spontaneous slumber party, Shuri showed up with her brother and invited herself into the room. She stood in front of the mirror with Izzy, her fingers tangled in the white girls hair.
"You take the side parts and put them into the middle." Izzy said, demonstrating it with the air. Shuri stared at her with confusion, making Izzy sigh.
"Stupid white people." Shuri tutted, folding her arms and shaking her head. The door opened, causing all heads to turn.
"What are you girls doing?" T'Challa asked, looking all around the room.
"A slumber party, brother!" Shuri celebrated, throwing her arms in the air. Izzy chuckled, reaching back for her hair and pulling it over her shoulder.
"She's trying to figure out how to do a plait." Izzy said, looking over to the man.
"I know how to do that." T'Challa grinned, walking over to the mirror and standing behind Izzy, intertwining her hair into a perfect plait.
"Why do you get all the talent?" Shuri complained, going and sitting on Olivia's bed, earning giggles from the other women.
"All done!" T'Challa grinned. Izzy thanked him and he left the room, only for the door to be opened again, Pepper running through with panicked eyes. She darted over to Izzy and clutched her tightly.
"Oh God, honey. I heard about what happened."
"I'm fine, mum." Izzy groaned. Pepper was squeezing her a little too tightly.
"Your dad and I only just got the news and-"
"They saved the day, Miss Potts." Carol pitched in, who was laying on the bed and reading some comic Olivia had lying around. Pepper grew confused, her eyebrows knotting together.
"They? Who else-"
"Hi, I'm Olivia. I don't believe we've met." Olivia stood from where she was sitting and held her hand out. Pepper took it and shook it politely, but still had a confused expression on her visage.
"Steve's daughter."
"Yes, Miss."
"You both saved the day?" Pepper asked, looking between them both.
"I- um used some of dad's technology to give us both suits. Olivia's is made out of vibranium."
"That's why you asked for so much of it!" Shuri exclaimed.
"I also have a shield!" Olivia gleamed, holding her arm out and having the shield draw to her body, sliding onto her arm. "Look it has my symbol on it!"
"That's very cool- how much of your dad's money did you spend?" Pepper asked.
"None! I used everything he already bought."
The door opened before Pepper could respond, a panicky Steve peeping his head in, grinning to all the women. Following close behind was Peter, who ran over to Olivia and hugged her tightly.
"I'm so sorry, I-I just saw the explosion and I was too scared to help and-"
"Peter...Peter, it's fine. We dealt with it." Olivia chuckled, patting his arm. Peter sighed with relief, a small smile playing on his lips.
"You did awesome though, both of you." Peter looked over to Izzy, only for Izzy to look away quickly.
"Thanks, Peter..." Olivia couldn't help but grin at her friends awkwardness, but luckily Peter didn't notice. Steve walked over to Olivia, and Olivia began to get anxious, waiting for the impact of her dad's telling off. A few seconds passed which felt to be hours, until Steve spoke up.
"You did great out there, kid. I'm proud of you."
"Wait, really?"
"I'm allowing you to keep your shield. Just don't damage the compound with it."
"Yes!"
