Olivia was wrestling with Peter, both their muscles flexed and sweat dripping off of them. Peter had gritted, a vein pulsing out of his neck and death grip on Olivia's arm as she flipped him over and pinned him to the ground. Training was always better when you were angry at your opponent.
Only if they were actually training, not arguing over who was going to save Izzy.
"It has to be me!" Peter yelled, dropping his arms in defeat and panting. Olivia rolled off of him, breathing heavily.
"If they get you, they'll kill you. They don't just pick us at random, they needed Izzy for a reason. They want to hurt Izzy? They'll hurt you." Olivia explained, standing up from the ground. Peter followed after her, mopping his sweat with a towel.
"I'm going after her."
"No you're not, you're staying here until I have her back. She needs you here, Peter, safe and sound."
"I can't just sit here while she's out there!"
"We've just trained for six hours because we're worried we can't take the sons of bitches down! Do you really think we're just sitting here?!" Olivia asked, taking a sip from her water bottle. Peter shook his head, exiting the training room pissed off.
Olivia went back to her room and changed out of her training clothes, gasping quietly when she heard the door open behind her and close again. She spun around, sighing in relief at the sight of Natasha.
"You scared me." Olivia grinned, wiping the sweat from her forehead.
"You've just trained for seven hours, you're scaring me."
"I'm just getting ready for whatever is thrown at us. I need to get her back, Nat, I can't have her gone." Olivia said, sitting on the edge of her bed and putting her head in her hands. She wasn't upset necessarily, her body just ached. Natasha came and sat by her, embracing her tightly. Olivia was comfortable, she could just fall asleep-
"AVENGERS!"
The two sprang apart from one another and ran for the door, throwing it open and seeing nothing but a haze of smoke. Olivia pressed on her chest plate and squinted her eyes, seeing the silhouette of someone was walking through the door. Olivia looked back to Natasha, who was confused.
"Get to Wanda! Now!" Olivia ordered. Natasha was hesitant to leave Olivia, but she ran to the room regardless. Olivia held her arm out, having the shield come to her from her room and onto her arm. She ran through the smoke, jumping over bodies that were just trying to make out what was happening. Olivia was the only one prepared.
"Get out!" She yelled trying to get everyone up, but the silhouette continued to walk as though it were automatic, not stopping for anything. Everyone was soon running away, wanting to help the girl but they weren't equipped in time. Olivia soon felt a pressure on her chest, everything was now down to her.
She frisbeed the shield swiftly, only for the silhouette to catch it and toss it back. Olivia ducked down, the edge just swiping across the top of her hair and lodging into the wall behind her. She sprung up, and ran back to get her shield.
That's when the bullets starting firing.
Olivia ran and jumped, crouching behind the kitchen counter with her shield over her head. She stood up again, the shield covering her head and sprinting towards the person. Eventually a bang rang out and the two fell over. Olivia sat up, reached for the machine gun and took it, standing up and running outside of the compound so the conflict could be out of the way of anyone who wasn't fighting. The broad daylight hit and Olivia placed her shield on her back, holding the gun tightly.
The person stepped out in the daylight, their hair tied back into a ponytails with many plaits falling down. Olivia's breathing hitched as she lowered the gun, her eyes not even believing what she was seeing.
"...Izzy?" She called out, not wanting to fight anymore. Fatigue set in her arms and a warmth ran through her heart. Her best friend was finally home safe and-
"Who the hell is Izzy?" She replied, pulling out daggers from her back and sprinting over to the girl.
(A/N: totally ripped off the winter soldier LMAOOO)Olivia lifted the gun again, firing at the girls feet but she was too fast, managing to dodge every single one. They came close together and Izzy swung the daggers, one of them tearing through Olivia's suit and cutting her arm. Olivia turned the gun around and bashed Izzy with the end of it. She fell back, and Olivia pounced on her, pinning her hands to the ground.
"I don't know who you are!" Izzy yelled, looking to Olivia with her black irises. Olivia gritted her teeth, squeezing Izzy's wrists so tightly the bones nearly snapped, so Izzy let go of the daggers. Izzy sat up, head butting Olivia so she fell back, rubbing her forehead.
"You know who I am. We're family! Remember? We choose our family's..." Olivia tried to prompt her friend, but Izzy shook her head, looking at her clueless.
"I'm not a part of your family." The words sunk deep and hurt Olivia in a way she had never experienced. She didn't have time to feel depressed, Izzy jumped to her feet as Olivia did, kicking her in the stomach.
Izzy stumbled back so Olivia could grab her shield and begin to swing. Izzy managed to dodge it, but her palm soon pressed against the green of the logo. The shield began to vibrate and the green soon became stained with purple. Olivia roared out as the shield became heavy and hard to handle. Izzy's hand trembled and the moment the logo was completely purple they flew apart. Olivia rolled along the floor and stopped herself, a green lightning lacing through her fingers. Izzy laid on the floor and panted, cyan flooding back into her eyes. She brought her hand up to her face and observed the purple powers erupt from her palm. She exhaled in relief, she was no longer under mind control. She stood up, looking over to her best friend who hadn't been able to stand yet.
"Liv?" She called out.
(A/N: okay like imagine dramatic music as I stand like DUN DUN DA DUN DUN DA DUN)
Olivia placed two steady feet on the ground, standing up straight and looking over to the girl. Green orbs glowed from her eyes and she lifted her right hand, (her left was holding the shield which was still beaming purple), green flames ignited from her hand. She now has powers, just like Izzy's.
The green was soon diminished and Olivia dark eyes looked to her best friend with a smile on her face. They ran over to each-other, taking each-other in a hug. Izzy cried quietly, grateful that Olivia was okay and that she was no longer under mind control. Everything was okay.
"Welcome home, friend."
