Peter drove Izzy down to the beach at sunset so Izzy could observe upon it on the drive down. They sang along to musical songs while Peter kept his hand on Izzy's thigh. She tried to ignore the physical contact but the blush on her face said otherwise.
"Me and Ned came down here once to play with the rocket Ned got for Christmas. It was so cool, we got to do a report on it for science class!" Peter rambled on, and though Izzy was genuinely listening to what he was saying, she did think that a twenty minute explanation on why Ned should've bought the Death Star lego set instead of the Darth Vader lego set was a little extensive.
Izzy had a small headache that kind of bothered her, she continued to rub her forehead. Peter kept looking to her, worried that he had done something wrong to cause this, but he didn't say anything about it. He pulled up into a parking spot, and got out, taking out all the blankets and baskets of food out of the back seat. Izzy got out and offered her assistance, but Peter was willing to be a gentlemen no matter how much he struggled. He laid the blanket down, and let Izzy sit, unloading all of the food onto the blanket.
"Voila!" He said, quite proud of himself. He sat down by Izzy, flooding her with questions of what she wants to eat. Izzy stopped him, and laid down on the blanket.
"Watch the sunset with me."
Back at the compound, everyone was in their rooms minding their business. It was the quietest time of the night, where the kitchen and living room were empty. The door to Olivia's door creaked open, with a brunette and ginger poking their heads through to make sure the coast was clear.
"Are we really about to do this?" Olivia whispered, clutching the large button up shirt around her. Natasha was wearing one too, they were matching.
"What? I just want to make cookies. Everyone else is like nikes away from the kitchen." Natasha reached into cupboard to pull out the different ingredients, while Olivia grabbed the crockery. "As long as we don't wake Yelena up we'll be fine."
"You're telling me we can be as loud," Olivia hugged Natasha from behind, pressing kisses down her neck, "as we want?"
"While making cookies!" Natasha corrected, hooping a bag of flour against her girlfriends nose. Olivia pulled away, getting the mixer out of the corner of the kitchen.
"Okay. Chocolate chips...flour...eggs- where are the eggs?"
"And I used the last of the eggs to make these little cupcakes for you. Look! They have stars on!" Peter grinned, holding a cupcake up to Izzy's face. Izzy giggled, taking the cupcake out of his hand and licking off the icing. Peter watched to make sure it was actually good and that he hadn't poisoned his date. When a grin grew on her face, he knew he had done a good job.
*as a seventeen year old*
Peter grinned at her, brushing some hair out of her face and letting his thumb stroke her cheek. He watched her in awe as she ate the cupcake, a smile growing on his lips. He knew he was lucky to have Izzy forgive him, and that's why he wanted to take her on such a fantastic date, one that she would never forget.
Izzy looked up at Peter with clueless eyes, wondering why he was staring at her so intensely. She just wanted to eat the cupcake in peace, and now she felt awkward in continuing, but did so anyway.
"Okay, how much flour?" Olivia asked, pouring the whole bag into the mixture. Natasha, now frustrated, smacked her girlfriends arm and groaned. The cookies were now ruined.
"I just want one nice thing in my life!" She complained, taking the bowl away from the mixer. Olivia leaned down, her cheek in front of Natasha's face.
"You still have me." The brunette grinned, tapping her cheek to ask for a kiss. Natasha smirked, scooped up some of the flour from the bowl and slapped it against Olivia's cheek, much to her surprise.
"Oh you're getting it Romanoff." Olivia snarled, snatching the bowl and tipping it upside down all over her hair. Natasha gaped her mouth open, brushing the flour off of her head and taking one of the last few eggs of off the side and cracking it onto Olivia's head, having the yolk run down her hair. Olivia groaned in defeat and lifted Natasha by the waist into the island, then shook her head to make the egg spit onto her shirt. Natasha squealed in disgust, grabbing Olivia's head and bringing their faces close.
Izzy ran into the ocean and screamed at the coldness. Peter followed after her, shivering at the temperature of the water. Izzy grabbed onto Peter for stability, their bodies pressed together. Peter looked down at Izzy and smiled, with Izzy snuggling her head into his chest and wrapping her arms around his waist. The night was cold but they were warm.
"I could stay out here forever." Peter mumbled, pressing a kiss to her forehead. Izzy looked up to him, her brows knitted together.
"Really? It's cold and wet and-" A finger landed under her chin and drew their faces closer.
"But I'm with you. That's all that matters." His voice cracked slightly as he tried not to cry at the sweetness of their moment. Izzy grinned, leaning in and kissing him gently. They stayed put, lips connected until Izzy pulled away for air, smiling sheepishly at him.
"I think I'm in love with you." She blurted out, making Peter's smile a little wider.
"You don't know...how badly I've wanted you to say that."
Natasha held Olivia's face in her hands, stroking her cheek with her thumb, a smitten smile on her lips. Olivia jumped up on her tip toes, catching her lips with the redheads. Natasha draped her arms over Olivia's shoulders while they kissed, Olivia's hands travelling up the woman's legs.
"I don't think we're making cookies anymore." Olivia mumbled against her lips, with Natasha shaking her head, resining the kissing. Her hands reached down and fumbled around the buttons of Olivia's shirt, letting the material fall until-
"I am awake and I am hungover!" The two pulled apart and Natasha snapped her head around, glaring at where the voice came from.
"Yelena!"
