I was sitting in the bathroom staring at a pack of razors the whole night before I decided to cut myself. I know now there were a multitude of reasons why but at the the time I thought it was because of Blue.

Mike's funeral was quick. It was the day before Santana's tournament so she couldn't be there but it was a small funeral. His mother and father both came in town. His mother's hair was wild and in crazy curls all over her head. She had Mike's smile and the first person she came and hugged was Blue.

She had feathers in her hair, sandals on and bangles that shook every time she moved. She looked just as free as Mike described her. She had red eyes and I could tell she had been crying. I realized maybe I didn't know all of the details about her and I felt terrible for judging her so harshly.

Mike's dad was there as well in his uniform. He sat in the corner and he didn't move an inch as if he was a robot. He was acting a lot like Blue in that way.

From the moment Blue got the call he didn't speak a word and the funeral was no different.

I found out from Taj since I was not around Blue when he got the call. I went over to his house after practice like always and he was just sitting there.

I called out to him but he didn't move an inch. I thought he was lost in thought until Taj came bursting through the door tears streaming down his face. It wasn't until Taj was crying on Blue that he moved. He wrapped his arms around Taj, his motions robotic. I asked Taj what was going on and he told me Mike was gone.

I looked for Mike's girlfriend the entire funeral. I saw a few faces but none that dressed in clothes rich enough to be from Constance. I realized eventually she hadn't even came. I hated that Mike had fallen in love with such an awful woman. I never could get all the details but I overheard either they never found a body or his body was so deformed he'd had to have a closed casket.

So he was cremated.

During the funeral, Mike's mother came up to me and hugged me. " Now are you the young woman I heard so much about," she said. At first I didn't know what she meant. She was talking and her nose was red and running profusely. She had cried loudly the whole funeral and it was the most heartbreaking sound I'd ever heard in my life.

" I don't think so, my name is Claire. It's very nice to meet you though. Mike spoke so highly of you," I said reaching my hand out to shake it when she pulled me in for a hug.

" Oh no we hug around here. But yes, Mike mentioned you too, Blue's pretty girlfriend. I'm sure he was smitten with you too. He's a lot like me in a way, always wanting things he can't have," she said smiling softly. She had the same bright energy that Mike had.

" But have you seen a girl named Harley. Mike told me she'd be the prettiest girl in the room," His mother continued. At first I didn't completely hear what she'd said. I heard her but I wasn't listening. I simply knew I didn't know whoever his girlfriend was. I shrugged it off at first. I was about to tell her I didn't but then I heard the name.

" I'm sorry you said Harley," I repeated. She shook her head yes. " Yes, her name's Harley I'm sure of it," she said. My mind froze for a second. I was trying to process what I'd heard when it all started clicking together and it all became clear.

A rich girl from Constance.

Extremely beautiful.

Harley was always in love with someone with a different lifestyle than her and we always thought she meant a woman. But she was talking about Mike. I placed my hand over my mouth inadvertently.

" You know her," she asked me, her face determined. I realized I was talking to her and placed my hand down and tried to hide my shock. I shook my head yes anyways. His mother's eyes lit up the second I began nodding my head.
