WARNING:
BODY HORROR AHEAD***
James still couldn't believe that the girl he met at that day, that light in the dark, had now being drowned in the darkness itself. She couldn't escape, and he can't be able to do anything about it.
He wished he could, since she was important to him, an important person, a friend.
"Secco!"
A familiar voice of a boy echoed around the freezing corridor. He turned around and saw another boy with almost the same age as him, with silver hair and blue eyes the same as the sleeping girl, ran towards them with cold sweat.
It seemed like he was in a hurry and now panting, but he didn't care, as long as he can see what he had been looking for.
As his eyebrows raised and his eyes pleaded, worry and desperation had written all over his face.
He spotted Secco, frozen, he immediately ran to her, passing through James like he wasn't even there, that everyone and everything around him wasn't even there.
With those gust of wind that he left, he can feel that she was important to him as well, but unlike him, her value to him was more, more than a friend, and more than a special person. It was an importance that he had never witnessed on anyone, but knew what it is once he had seen one.
He value her as a girl that he will forever be with, and that he will forever make her happy and knew that she was loved. It's a whole level of importance.
"Secco." He called her name once again as if that was the only thing that he could say, and wouldn't mind saying it over and over again.
But seeing her in a deep sleep, frozen like a mannequin, made him wonder if all his calling are even worth it. He knew that his voice wouldn't be heard, so what's the point of shouting her name?
He dropped on the floor, hopeless at the girl in front of him. He knew that in order to keep her safe from the enemy and from herself, she'll have to be confined and locked. He was willing to do that. He was willing to fix her, even that means destroyinh for her freedom and her love for him.
But just like his shouts, was it all worth it?
Seeing her so dead and broken, can't do anything for herself and didn't know anything about herself, was it all he ever wanted? The only that he received was just a sleeping Secco, and nothing else.
Did he fail again? Did he fail to protect the ones he loved again? Did he fail to care for them again?
He didn't want to repeat his actions before, where everything that he was doing was wrong and will never be right. He wanted to fix himself as well, trying to do the right things even that means sacrificing all those years with them, just to keep them safe.
But then, he realized that he did the wrong thing again.
At the time of this, Secco needs him. Secco needs him to understand her situation, and to keep her away from being taken, and yet, he did a pathetic move of removing her freedom. It was truly pathetic.
If this is the punishment, then he deserve it.
Then suddenly, the sleeping Secco opened her eyes, but this time, they weren't crystal clear cobalt blue of colors, but something more distorted and creepier. Her irises became bloody red like that of a crimson moon, glowing intensely as her nerves started spreading on the edges of her eyeballs. Her eyes were moving from different directions uncontrollably.
