Truth in Pairs

I didn't give up on looking for my parents killers within the month after their death. It wasn't revenge I wanted. I wanted answers. Was it aimed at me or was it just because they could? Whatever the reason I wanted to know.

On the way to the Academy I spotted Ino fangirling over Sasuke. Poor dude, kinda feel bad. I almost laughed when Ino pretended to fall so he could catch her. Only to end up being ignored. I would save him the humiliation but nah I got better things to do.

Ignoring Ino's cry of protest I continued on my way. I turned the corner and bumped into someone. Rubbing my nose I looked up...Neji. That's just great now he's gonna complain. "Sorry didn't see you." That's a shocker "No I'm sorry I should have paid attention better." He raised an eyebrow. "It's been a long morning."

He nodded and we continued to class. I kept a step behind, I could hear Ino and Sasuke closing in. "Hey forehead!" I groaned. If not getting any sleep wasn't good this can't be either. "Damn it! Sakura!" I snapped my head around "What Ino?" She latched on to Sasuke. I rolled my eyes. "Clinging on to a walking bolder isn't proving very much."

Neji snorted from behind. Sasuke's face twisted and Ino turned red. "How dare you say that about Sasuke!" I ignored her and walked away into the school. "Bolder...I'll use that next time." Neji said,I chuckled "feel free too." I sat down. Resting my head I wanted to sleep. Tenten came up and handed me a pillow. "Here you look horrible." I thanked her. And went to sleep. I woke up to a screaming Naruto.

Him and Kiba were yelling at each other. Wait...I remember this...Naruto kisses Sasuke by accident. The thought of it made me inwardly cringe. "Will you two shut up." Sasuke said. This caused Naruto to get even louder making my headache worse. I groan and lay my head back down. "Naruto please quiet down I have a headache." You plead. Naruto instantly stopped. "Sorry Saku."

Iruka walked in and started the class, huh? The kiss didn't happen. You lay your head back down, you already know what he was teaching so there was no use staying awake. Naruto shook you awake. "Wake up! Lets go get Ramen!" He shouts Hinata and Shikamaru walk over. "Is Ramen the only thing you eat?" Sasuke asks. "No I eat Udon sometimes." You laugh. He was lying through his teeth.

The five of you walk to Ichiraku together. Talking and laughing with the occasional 'Hn' from Sasuke in acknowledgement. "Sasuke-Kun!" You heard Ino's annoying voice and groaned. Sasuke looked like he wanted to run for his life. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw me. "Why are you with her?" I had to hold Hinata back. Sasuke shot her a glare. "What? Just because her parents died doesn't give her a free path. I snapped, I tackled her to the ground landing punch after punch. Ignoring her pleas to stop and the others trying to pull me off. 

Suddenly I was lifted in the air...I looked over and I wanted to cry. Kakashi Sensei. I looked at Ino, she was bruised and bloody. With a broken nose and a black eye. "Now now children no need to fight." Ino sniffled. Shikamaru was holding Hinata back because she wanted a go at Ino. "I only said the truth." Ino stated. And Hinata lost it. "YOU BROUGHT UP HER PARENTS YOU BITCH!" I snapped my head towards Hinata in shock.

She has never ever, and I mean never not even in the future used a cuss word.You twist Kakashi's wrist making him drop you as you ran to hold Hinata back. She wanted to dig Ino's eyes out. Ino sat on the ground shaking in fear. Kakashi was standing there shocked. "And why is that a big deal?" Kakashi asked. "Because her parents were murdered a month ago!" Naruto and Shikamaru yelled at Kakashi in union. His eyes saddened "I see, my condolences." 

"I think it's best you leave." He said to Ino with a smile.

Kakashi's Pov:

I didn't expect to see a pink haired child beating up another child. I definitely didn't expect her to be throwing punches like a man. I'm glad I stopped her when I did though. For some reason as I held her in the air and looked at her. I wanted to protect her, I was unsure why. But the urge to hug her was hard to fight. When she twisted out of my grip to hold back her friend it surprised me.

She was a newly admitted Genin, and she got out of a Jonins grip with ease. She was skillful. When I heard her friend cuss it shocked me. They all got so mad for her sake. I looked at the young Uchiha. Even he looked like he wanted to kill the small blonde child. When I heard her parents were murdered I understood why they all felt the need to protect her. And maybe deep down that was why I wanted to as well.

"I think it's best you leave." I told the beaten up blonde. The pinkette turned around "Mention my Parents again and you'll wake up bald." She threatened the girl who screamed and ran off. That was a low blow.  I watched them all together moving as one. That type of trust took years to form. Her one blonde male friend was in angry tears. The Pinkette calmed him down easily.

The young Uchiha started to pick on the blond boy and the pinkette laughed as they threw words at each other back and forth. For an even more unknown reason I felt drawn to those three. 

I walked away I had a feeling I would see those three again.
