The road home ( Naruto Fanfic)

It's ninja time

Naruto and I grew accustomed to training with my father and sometimes my mother. As my small body was weak it was hard but got easier same with Naruto. We trained everyday after playing and then snuck out to meet Hinata after dark where we then started to train with her.

This went on for a long time as we grew closer and closer and along the way Shikamaru joined us. He was extremely active as a kid... surprisingly.

Three years passed as we out grew my father's teaching and begun to advance. That's when it was time to enroll into the academy. Naruto was so excited that he didn't sleep.

My mother helped me get ready and we set off. I spotted Shikamaru and called out. " Hey Shika!!!" We started using nicknames. I played Shoji with his dad multiple times and cooked with his mom. " Hey Saku how's Hina?" I shrugged, " I dunno haven't seen her yet."

We neared the entrance and I spotted Naruto. Alone in the corner. Others stared at him. I saw Sasuke on the other side Ino and the others crowding him.

"Naru!" I called he perked up and ran over me and Shikamaru gave him a hug. I ruffled his hair and spotted Hinata. " Hina! Over here!" Our parents talked with the jonin so she could come over. "Hey guys!" She became less shy around us. Still stutters around Naruto which is cute.

We all sat down and began talking we started to enjoy each other's company till Ino ruined it. "Hey forehead. I see you haven't changed." I was going to say hey back but out of the blue Hinata slapped Ino. And I mean Slapped. " Hina!" She was furious, " Don't you dare call her that her name is Sakura! Sa-ku-ra!"

Shikamaru nodded and Naruto stood beside Hinata ready to protect her. That's cute....in a way. Ino began to tear up and went to lunge at Hinata. I slapped her next. I know that wasn't necessary but that's the only way she listens. "Don't even think about it Ino. Look I get it, you don't like me and I could honestly care less. Just keep my family out of it."

She was shocked, "Family?" She scanned each of us standing up. "Yes, they are my family. Mess with one of us you get all of us got it?" Her face twisted with anger. She stormed off. "Why I atta-" I grabbed Naruto's shoulder and shook my head. "She's not worth our time."

Apparently that caused a commotion and Hinata's father headed towards us. I pulled her behind me. Naruto took his fighting stance and Shikamaru had his hand on his Kunai. " I see my daughter as befriended loyal ones." I raised an eyebrow not letting my guard down. "Good, I expect you three at dinner tonight. Come Hinata."

We hugged her and she left. "I was ready for a whole fight." Shikamaru stated. "Me too! He's scary!" I chuckled at Naruto. "I think he likes us... hopefully that is."

Tenten ran up to us. "Wow! That was so cool!" Naruto puffed out his chest so I poked his side to make him laugh. "Meanie!" I stuck my tongue out. " Troublesome." There he is, Shikamaru in the flesh. He hates more people. "My name is Tenten! You're Sakura, Shikamaru, and Naruto right?"

We nodded, " Can we please be friends that was so cool back there!" Naruto jumped up and down "Yeah!" I laughed and shook hands with Tenten. Another ally.

----Sasuke was watching from afar as the event unfolded. Unknown to Sakura another battle was about to strike----
