Optimus's Perspective

               I got back to base and everyone was excited to see me again. Fowler calls our attention and announces "On behalf of the president and the joint chiefs; I thank you all for your selfless heroism and defense of this planet. I'm only sorry that the world can't yet know of your undying dedication because I for one owe you my life, my liberty, and my future." He salutes.

I look to my commander who declares "Sir, I am honored to relinquish command of the autobots, to you." I greet him officially "Welcome to earth, Ultra Magnus.... And, to Team Prime." I look down as Miko ran up to me "Okay, someone's got to say it. Optimus 2.0 is rad!!" I was going to reply to her but she continues, looking over to Ratchet "Imagine what The Forge could do for your 'bod." My medical staff scoffs and says "Is it true that The Forge has been drained of its power..... then any hope of rebuilding the Omega Lock has truly been lost." Smokescreen mumbles "I.... Did what I felt was right..." He was disappointed in himself. Ratchet however congratulated him "And your instincts have again proven to be quite sowed."

And with that, everyone got ready to party. I stayed to watch. I walk over to Smokescreen and say "Smokescreen...." He looks up to me and then down, thinking he was going to get a lecture on how he defied my orders. All I say is "Although you did not follow through with my command, I live to see another day because of your actions, and that is indeed not a victory that has been lost. Well done, Soldier." He looks up to me with a bright smile on his face and begins to jump in place and spin around. He was cheering and having a fun time. Especially now since I congratulated him myself. What a fan he is.....

I then walk over to Miko who was getting her guitar out "Miko." I grab her attention. She turns to me. I kneel down and say "I appreciate your compliment." She smiles and bows "You got it, Prime!" I continue "You remind me a lot about ShiverTooth. That's just what he would say... if not with more natural and appropriate words. No offence to your statement." I had noticed that when I mentioned the seeker, her smile dropped. I turn my helm "Is something wrong?" She explains "ShiverTooth is a decepticon." "That did not stop you from friending him when he took him to base that one time." I counter. She goes on "Yeah! That ONE time. Do you understand what he has done!!??"

My expression stiffened as she was speaking hellishly about my seeker friend. "One day, he's helping us get you back, the next his buddy Dreadwing arrives and he changes completely!! He pointed a gun at you anyhow!! Not to mention, he lashed out at Bulkhead!" I reason "Shivertooth only saw Bulkhead brutally harming his twin and thought of the same torture being brought on him." The girl argues "What about that one time where the ship was injected with Dark Energon? He threatened to tell Megatron you were coming." I state "He did not know that I was coming. All I wanted was for him to get off the ship! And he listened best he could. A decepticon would have countered that statement hundreds of times. ShiverTooth did not because he knows I am not tricking him which confirms that he trusts me as a fellow bot."

              Jack runs over "Now he may have said that he doesn't personally care about us but he still said that he's get us out of there. And he listened when we told him that Agent Fowler was still on the ship. He even said and I quote 'Hurry, Knockout could wake up any time now'." Miko argues "Yeah but Ratchet went to save you, didn't he? What did he think of ShiverTooth? I don't recall him being worried about him, do you?" My medical friend walks over "I did not say that I wasn't worried about him. I said that it was best if I left him on the ship. I was doing what was best for him and our own team." Miko still wouldn't agree with us "Yeah but even Jack said that he still hates us!" Jack vents, forgetting that he said that.
