days had passed since Chris saw me with Jake.
i'm glad he hasn't said anything to the rest of them yet.

i've been with them everyday this week just doing random shit.

today, just hanging around the treehouse.

"I'm bored" Vern said.

we all nodded in agreement.

"Let's play truth or dare" Teddy said.

"I don't know man" Gordie said.

"I'm in" i replied with.

after a few minutes of discussing we decided to play.

"Gordie truth or dare" Teddy asked

"hmm truth"

"First kiss"

"Betty Ranons, 6th grade, behind the slide at recess"

The boys all started to laugh a little.

"Betty kissed you" Teddy said

"what about it.. it wasn't liek we were making out it was a innocent kiss."

"her last one apparently" Vern nudging Teddy

i didn't get it but i went along with it

"Vern truth or dare" Gordie said

"D-No t- No Da- Ugh! Truth"

"Have you every had sexual thoughts about the opposite sex?"

Vern looked at him in disbelief, the other 2 boys held straight-ish faces.

"Well-" Verns started to say, but was cut off by laughter.

"Oh Vern-o who's the lover girl" Chris said laughing.

Verns awkward smile soon turned into a white face, pale as a ghost.

"You alright Vern?" I asked.

he stayed quiet and didn't answer.

"Vern?" Gordie asked shaking him a little.

"I-I'm fine" He said.

He all of a sudden got up and left.

"What's his deal?" Teddy asked laughing a bit.

"No clue" I said looking at him run home.

we sat the in silence for a few minutes.

"Let's go on a walk or something" Gordie said finally.

we all agreed and than got up and left.

"I'm so bored" I said

"Boo-Hoo" Chris said

"Shut up" I replied.

the boys all looked at eachother, and than smirked.

"I don't shut up, i grow up, and when i look at you i throw up BLEHHH" They all yell together.

"What the fuck" i whispered.

The boys all laughed for a long time.. it eventually died down.

"What was that??"

"Oh god! i forgot about that! we haven't done that since... you know" Teddy said.

the other 2 agreed.

"you know what?" I asked curiously.

"I'll tell you later" Gordie said.

"No the fuck you won't!" Chris yelled.

Gordie winced at the yelling, but than nodded in shame.

"What the hell are you guys talking about" I asked.

"N-Nothing something that happened when we were 12 or some shit" Teddy said.

I'm guessing they could tell i was confused because they started to explain i wouldn't get it, and it was there "forever" secret.

I just nodded along, still not understanding. but i didn't get that they would take it to the grave and have it be there thing.

"you guys wanna come to my house?" Gordie asked.

"Sure" Teddy and Chris said together.

The 3 boys looked at me, Teddy and Gordie with warm expressions, Chris had a look of anger on his face.

i took it as he didn't want me there.

"No, i can't, maybe another time" I said backing up.

"Bu-" Gordie started to say, but was cut off by Chris.

I had nothing to do, mom was gone for the week because she said 'Denny(new boyfriend) wants to go to Vegas!'

I had nothing better to do, so i took the long way home, through all the neighborhoods, up the hills, everywhere.

When i did get home, the door was locked. I climbed up the tree outside my window, opened it, and hoped inside.

I layed on the floor and put on a The Doors record.

I imagined i was with my dad. listening to there first album on the living room floor.

all before anything bad happened..
