"I forgot about my car," Josh announced as we headed to Kendrick's car on Monday morning.
"So where did you think it was all this time?" I asked, giving him an are-you-stupid look. I thought he was aware that his car was left at his parents' house, because when he came here on Friday he was with me - in Kendrick's car. And yesterday when we went out to SeaWorld, he should've noticed his car wasn't parked anywhere near our house. If he had his car we'd of probably used it to get there instead of having Dustin and Sophie pick us up.
He shrugged, "I didn't think of that either,"
I laughed and rolled my eyes, "You're an idiot,"
"We'll just get it later today when we're getting your stuff from the house though," Kendrick reminded Josh, as he walked around to get to the driver side of the car. He was driving us to school today because he has classes, and we said that we'd get a ride home from Dustin; I still wanted to drive though, but I guess it's not a big deal. I got into the back with Josh, because I would've felt bad if he had to sit at the back all by himself while I was sitting in the front. I bet Kendrick had other ideas though, because he sent me a teasing look through the rearview mirror when he saw that I didn't get in the front.
"It's a lot of stuff, so we'll probably have to go back and forth." Josh told Kendrick, who had just started the car and began to drive off.
"Well we'll have two cars, so at least it won't be a lot."
"And we could get Dustin and Carter to help," I suggested. "Since they have cars too,"
"I don't know about that," Josh replied. "Dustin is probably staying with Sophie, and Carter is going to be with Amy, his 'not-girlfriend'."
I laughed at the fact that Josh said 'not-girlfriend' with air quotes; Carter keeps saying she's not his girlfriend, but they act a whole lot like they're dating. I don't think I can really say anything about that though, because Josh and I were the same yesterday. But it's almost like he's my brother now, since he's living with me, and it's not really normal for your friends to just move in with you like that. But then again, I am 18 and could live on my own - with my friend - so maybe it's not that weird. I'm probably just overthinking, trying to make everything all weird for myself, so let me stop. "Well you and Kendrick are going to deal with that, I'm going to be home watching Supernatural, it's been put off for way too long."
"That's not very nice, Kathy." Josh pouted, talking like if he was a baby.
"It's not nice to keep putting Supernatural off either," I reminded him, really wanting to start the series today.
"But that's not fair, you can watch that any time," Josh argued, still putting up his act of being a little kid.
"But if I put it off again it'll be like, the thirtieth time!" I whined, starting to sound like a kid myself. Not a kid like a baby goat, but a kid as in a little child. Although I could whine like a baby goat sometimes, so I guess it could mean both.
"It'll take longer if it's just me and your brother though, just help us." He begged, sounding really desperate right now, and no longer like a baby goat. He was probably serious this time, or something, I don't know. Or maybe he just couldn't say that in his goat-ish way?
Kendrick laughed from the front seat, deciding that he just had to comment. "You only want her there for the help?" He asked, peeking back and Josh through the mirror.
I opened my mouth to say something, but I decided to let Josh deal with this - it was directed to him either way.
"What do you mean...?" Josh asked him, seeming like he already knew the answer to that question but was acting confused. And the look he gave Kendrick was a look that was almost saying "I dare you to answer that". But I was probably just imagining things, because is there even an expression like that?
