"You can't stay mad at me forever Kat, come on." Kendrick said in the car while we were on our way to his school. I wasn't driving this time, because I'm pretending to be mad at him, so instead he's driving until he gets to college and then we will switch. I folded my arms and turned away to look out the window, trying my best not to smile. I always do that, whenever I pretend to be mad at someone, I always smile and blow my cover, it sucks. "I'm sorry Kathryn."
"Sorry doesn't make up for it!" I exclaimed, trying to pout, but it only turned into a smile that then turned into a laugh.
Kendrick laughed and rolled his eyes at me, "Wow, you were pretending this whole time?"
"You didn't know?" I asked, actually surprised that he didn't see through it like he always does.
He shook his head, "Only up until now I realized you really weren't."
I gave him a weird look, because it's pretty weird for him to not know the things I'd get mad at him for. But I mean, we weren't getting along just a few days ago, so maybe he thinks that anger came back? I don't know, but still, he should know I wouldn't get this mad over him just pulling me off of my bed. I think it was an accident though, because he just pulled my sheets and because I was holding onto them like, really tight, I happened to fall off the bed. He was just trying to wake me up so I wouldn't be late for school, so it's really okay. "Well, seems you can't read me like you used to." I chuckled, as the car slowed down in front of the huge campus where his college was.
"Oh well," He shrugged, flipping the lock on the door and opening it. "I'll see you later then,"
"Have fun!" I chirped, unbuckling my seatbelt and hopping over to the driver seat.
"I'll try, bye," He said, closing the door and walking off. I pressed down on the gas and started driving off in the direction of my school, I was about ten minutes late already, so I wasn't really in a rush to get there, considering I'd be stuck in a room with a bunch of other people that were late. So I took my time to get to school, with help of the stoplight that was before the school being red. It didn't take me too long to get to the school though, so I still had about twenty minutes or so to wait before I could go to second period. In the room, I saw Carter there - I guess he was late. I pretended like I didn't see him, and walked to the back of the classroom where there were a few empty seats. Not a lot of people come to school late, so the room wasn't filled; that's also why it's just in a classroom, instead of in the cafeteria like normal schools.
A while after I sat down, Carter came over to where I was. I groaned, and dropped my head on the desk - I really didn't want to talk to him right now. I didn't want to talk to him, Josh or even Sophie today; after what happened last night, it feels a bit awkward to me, and I'm pretty sure Sophie would've told Dustin and Carter what happened. "Hey there Kathy," He greeted.
I looked up and gave him a fake smile, "Hey,"
He took the chair from the desk beside me and dragged it over to me desk. "Why're you late?" He asked me, sitting down in the chair and resting his head on the table.
"I woke up late this morning," I told him. "What about you? Why're you late?"
"Sophie kept me up like all night," He sighed. "She called me and Dustin and was ranting about how she thinks you hate her."
I gave him a weird look, "Why would I hate her...?"
"Well it was hard to hear her, 'cause she was whispering. Josh stayed the night at her house, and he was asleep, and she didn't want him to hear what she was saying so she had to whisper. But then she was saying that she called you and told you about Kaitlin?"
