"y/n! oi y/n!"

i turned around to see a heeseung sprinting down the hallway towards me with a piece of paper in his hands as his hair bopped up and down effortlessly.

"what is it? what happened? why did you have to run?" i asked, questions rolling from my tongue.

"wait..." he panted, his chest rising up and down rapidly as he plastered a slight smile on his face, trying to catch his breath.

heeseung was never loud in school since he's actually kinda reserved, so to see him yelling my name in the hallway, which by the way was filled with a fairly good amount of students, was a little surprising so to say. he had just made himself look like a fool across good old highschool hallways.. and for what stupid reason now?

"take your time.. or not. i have got stupid chemistry to get to," i chuckled as i took out my water bottle from my bag, handing it to him. he smiled a little and chugged the entire bottle like he hadn't drank in months.

"so i'm guessing you haven't drank in maybe 3 months.." i cheekily commented as he gulped, shooting me a playful glare from the side of his eyes. that quickly shut me up so he won't accidentally eat the entirety of the water bottle or something.

"so what was so urgent that you had to run a marathon down the hallway?" i asked sarcastically, crossing my arms. "half the hallway's eyes were fixed on you just so you know," i scoffed.

heeseung chuckled nervously as he timidly glanced around him to see that some students' eyes were looking at him weird. that's what the man gets for stupidly running after me as if i was going anywhere.

"crap.." he whispered under his breath as he swiftly turned back, eyes fixed on the ground.

i could tell he immediately lost his cool and started freaking out since he started to constantly shift his body weight from left to right. his anxiety around people never got better, but what can i say? that's him.

i yanked his wrist and pulled him into the nearest classroom, which was thankfully empty since it was lunch break.

"better?" i asked, a small smile emerging on my face as i took a seat on a chair, turning my body to face heeseung.

"here." he replied.

he handed me the piece of paper i mentioned earlier— it was neatly folded and had little doodles all around it. doodles of the sanrio character that i loved; pompom purin. before taking the paper, i looked up at him and titled my head slightly to the side, puzzled.

"everything you need to know is written in there, but i still have a few things to say," he started as he wiggled the paper around in my face like i'm some blind lunatic.

"okay okay! i get it," i commented. i yanked the paper out of his hands and examined it. heeseung was never the type to actually write out a whole letter. okay well.. no. i'm wrong on that one - he did write a love letter for some crush he had back when we were in the last year of elementary - it was hilarious, seeing his 12 year old self draw the typical horizon with two curves as birds. but that was it though! after that, he swore to never like someone ever again. forever, in fact. so to be receiving this letter... it was new and i didn't know if i liked it.
