i scurried to the pantry first to get a bottle of water for heeseung before entering the recording studio so that he could hydrate his throat first.

"ah y/n you're here," the music producer greeted, giving him a bow and quietly took a seat down behind him as heeseung entered the recording booth.

"okay heeseung, we'll start off with the 2nd verse right here. i'll play the guide for you first then you can tell me when you're ready," he said as heeseung nodded, putting on his headphones as he bopped his head up and down to the guide track of the song.

heeseung was lip-syncing along with the track while reading the lyrics off of the script in front of him.

he nodded to himself before saying

"i'll give it a try now."

the 2nd verse started playing as heeseung carefully delivered his lines, hitting the higher notes effortlessly.

he suddenly paused and tilted his head, evidently unsatisfied with his first try.

"i'll do that part again," he said as he carefully read the lyrics, warming up his voice to fit the certain tones he wanted to include in the verse. he leaned one arm against the wall as he stood there, his eyebrows furrowing at the track that was playing back to him.

i had never seen him so invested in music

i had never seen him so invested in music. sure, he always loved singing and dancing, but his attitude towards producing good music for the fans was something i've never seen before.

he was so intricate during the whole process.

"while you're doing that, i'll go to the washroom first," the producer said as he excused himself, exiting the recording studio.. which left only me and heeseung in the room.

i quietly gazed as heeseung went over the lyrics once more, making sure to emphasise the different pitches and emotions of the song.

he continuously sang out loud some parts to try to fixate what feeling he wanted the phrase to sound like
