Kya jumped off the roof, and ran towards the end of the island, to saw the sea in front of her...
the teen didnt have much of a choice so...she took a deep breath and, jumped into it...once she waterbent herself on the other side of the shore, where usually ostrich horses ran all day...she saw thousands of people walking, talking, laughing...there were teens like her...police officers that were taking off work and other drunk people she didnt want to look at...it was amazing.
She stopped, watching the city with wide eyes, it was better than what she had imagined, her eyes traveled to a bar full of teens like her,
A boy inside noticed her staring and approached her
"Hi! new here?"
"I- uh..."
he dragged her inside "thats not recommended standing by the entrance of a place like this, you know?"
"Oh sorry!"
"no problem, have fun!" the boy vanished in the crowd, she looked around, a strong smell of smoke was in the small local...she had to take matters in her own hands, once she managed to make it into the crowd...she slightly bumped on someone...that someone was the most beautiful girl she ever saw in her entire life...a teen probably from the earth kingdom...her skin dark and shiny, her hair braided in thousands of little braids, and her eyes a smerald green.useless to say that at her sight Kya lost balance and fell.
The girl in question frowned, seeing her wincing, once she hit the floor
"hey are u okay?" she gave Kya her hand
Kya looked up at her and gladly accepted her help "uh yes dont worry!" she began stuttering on her words, the girl smiled as Kya began blushing "Im Seya by the way"
"...Kya! I mean Im Kya"
*dont act stupid, come on Kya pull yourself together* she thought
Seya noticed how disoriented she was,
she grabbed her arm "come with me"Kya eyes widened like they never did, the grip on her arm was tight and before she knew it
they were outside, on a hill Kya never saw before, Seya pulled out a bottle from her bag.
"whats this?"
"Cactus Juice, want to try?"
*how bad can it be? say yes say yes-*
"I- sure" she took the bottle and once she opened it she looked at it...sniffed it-
"hey dont worry Im not trying to poison you"
"oh um...I know its that...Ive never, never-"
"never drank?"
Kya looked down, slightly imbarassed
"thats ok if u dont want-"
"no no I got this, I just-" she sighed, closed her eyes and took a sip of the strange liquid, her eyes widened as she released her mouth from the bottle
"that was...intense" said Kya hiding a little smirk
Seya took the bottle and took a sip, then handled it once more to Kya
"so...why are you here tonight?"
"what do you mean?"
"what are you running from?"
"my...my family, needed to take my mind off my mom for one night"
"fair enough"
"what about you?"
she choked on the drink
"woah is it that bad?"
"Im escaping from my family too" said she, looking at the moon
at that point Kya didnt know if it was whatever she drank or if it was like love felt like, maybe both, Seyas eyes glowed like precious gems.
"youre beautiful-" she immediately covered her mouth realizing what she said
"I- I- mean in a- way that, i-in a platonic way youre beautiful, its not like I said that youre hot, I mean you're genuinely beautiful but everyone would say that because-" she sighed, trying to stop her face from blushing so hard
"youre pretty hot too" Saya realized as well what she said and shook her head, as if she was trying to get the thought away
"I mean..." she began looking at Kya, her skin glowed at the moonlight and she was gorgeous, she began moving more closer to her, the bottle almost empty, Kyas eyes widened...Saya placed her hand on top if hers, only the sound of their breaths hitting the cold night air.
"I..." Kya began staring at the girls lips, so perfect and soft, without even noticing, their lips were connected to eachother.
They could taste the sweet flavor of Cactus Juice in their mouths, she suddenly pulled away, gasping for air.
"I-Im sorry- MHPF" the waterbender tried to excuse herself but the girl cut her off by crushing her lips on hers once again, she began moving her hands through her hair, taking off her hair band, when they slightly pulled away, the two teens looked into eachothers eyes in awe..."spirits" was all Kya could say
"we...we should not have done this, what if someone saw us!?" the girl began freaking out
"my father says Ill never get a job if I keep doing these things" she began collecting her things and placing them in her bag
"he saw me one night and...well I dont want to alk about it okay? I just need to be normal again"
"and whats the point?" Kyas voice harsh
"what?"
"weve never been *normal* and well never be, if we kiss other girls people are gonna judge us, if we dont theyre gonna do it anyways...whats the point?"
"if we kiss they can do a lot more than judge us...I assure you" she looked down
Kya instantly regretted what she said, the truth hit her like a truck.
"we have to hide, or else people are gonna do a lot of bad things to us...and with that I mean: beat us up, verbally abuse us or kill us...trust me" she simply said getting up
"b-but it cant be the only way...what are you gonna do?"
"me? I...Ill probably marry a men...have kids that I dont want and have a calm and terribly sad life, thats sounds like a good plan doesnt it!" she said sarcastically
"well I-Im not gonna hide" she got up as well
"then good luck, Kya" her words echoing in the night
the girl ran off the hill, afraid that someone was gonna see her, Kya was speechless from what she just experienced, her vision was a little blurry, maybe for the half bottle she drank earlier... maybe because she just kissed someone for the first time...maybe she didnt want to know.Kya had go home, the girl began walking down the hill, at every step her head hurt more and she was tired...so tired.
