A nice breeze was blowing when I reached a Cafe and sat outside to wait for Javier, he texted me the details and asked for me to not say anything. I couldn't sleep all night after he texted me the address and what time we should meet up, was I nervous? Yes. Was I anxious to see him? Yes. Was I ready? No. I kept fidgeting around with my fingers. A waiter came my way and asked,"Ma'am what can I get for you?"
"Nothing, I'm fine."
"She'll take a mocha frap, I'll take a cup of water thank you." I didn't even have to turn around I knew who it was. The waiter jotted that down on his notepad and walked off.
"Andy." Don't turn around, don't do it. Well I turned around anyway. He looked the same, not one thing has changed. He had a smile plastered on his face that just got my heart beating fast.
"Javier." I managed to say.
"How are you?" He now approached the seat in front of me and sat down.
"Okay."
"How's Luis and Ted?"
"Fine I guess."
"Andy don't make this harder for me." He ran his hand through his hair and sighed.
"Harder for you? Why don't you stop for a second and get in my shoes. You think this is hard for you? What about me? Have you stopped to think about that?!? Have you stopped to think about how I've dealt with you running away?!?"
"I did it for you! I did it because if not I know you were going to get hurt!"
"I'm a god damn big girl, I know how to deal with myself, didn't you supposedly make an agreement with Picasso?"
"I did, I had to go as part of the deal too."
"You know, you didn't have the courage to say goodbye to me in person, you said bye to me through a phone call, a damn phone call. You're such a coward." I spat.
"If I went to go see you I knew damn well I wasn't going to leave you behind and I would've stayed too creating a bigger problem."
"Did you give the flashdrive to Piccaso?"
"Yes, but apparently it was not that important as the one you have, he's been calling me and pressuring me once again to look for the second one."
"I'm not giving it to you?"
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me, that flashdrive is staying with me!"
"Are you not realizing the danger that you can be in for having that flashdrive? I'm not letting that happen!"
"Sorry to inform you, but you're not my father or anyone so you have no power over my decisions, if I say I'm not giving it to you I'm not giving it you."
"You do realize that I will find out sooner than later right?"
"Goodluck, it took me almost ten years of my own life to figure out that I had it all this time." Javier was about to say something, but was cut off my the waiter who brought our drinks.
"So where were you hiding all this time?"
"Colombia."
"Interesting, I have heard there some beautiful women over there."
