Aurora's POV
~ { Ω } ~I've always been a naturally fast person, even when relaxed walking. So when I arrived at 9:48, I internally face-palmed, before shrugging it off and approaching the door to knock.
When I did knock, I heard someone scrambling around before opening the door. He was tall, far taller than me, with curly brown hair and a dopey smile. It fit him really well in a way.
I held my hand out, a smile plastered on. "I'm Aurora, you're Will, right?"
He nodded and took my hand, shaking it. "Pleasure to meet you."
I nodded, taking my hand back. "Honestly, I was expecting you to be a creepy old man, or some scruffy creep. You don't seem so bad I guess." I said, a playful tone in my voice.
He laughed, clapping his hands together, before inviting me inside. Something about how cold it was outside. I was rather hesitant for a moment, remembering the walls were soundproof, but decided that if I died, it would happen and that I couldn't do anything about it.
The house was actually pretty roomy, which I didn't expect for a house in such a busy area. The guest bedroom, which would become mine, had wooden floors like the rest of the house. This meant good acoustics, and I was rather happy about it. Especially because I had started posting covers on YouTube six months ago. I only had 20 subscribers, but I was intent on changing that.
"Dude, this house is actually so sick." I said, walking through my room, relishing the echoed noises. I hummed a bit, smiling at how it sounded, before singing a line from a random song to see how it sounded.
"And the anarchists have started filling potholes, collecting garbage. To prove we don't need government to do these things." It rang out so beautifully, I almost forgot to breathe.

"Ok, so I know you probably have a lot of people lined up, but this is legitimately the coolest house I've been in since moving here. When can I move in?" I asked, turning to him. He was just leaning against the doorframe, smiling.
"Actually," he started, "Not many people want to live in Brighton. You're the only person to want to move here so far. You can move in whenever you want." He said with a shrug.
"Tomorrow?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.
"Sure, but I might be on the phone with someone in my room, so the door will be closed. But if you want me to help, I can ask him to put it off for a few hours until you're set up." He said,
"Thanks," I responded, smiling. "But they lost all of my stuff on the way over besides my guitar, so it should he fairly easy."
He perked up when I mentioned my guitar, and I was left to wonder why for a brief moment before my phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out to find a text from my friend.

I glared at my phone for a moment before putting it back in my pocket.
"You look upset, what's up?" Will asked, genuine concern in his voice.
I waved it off. "My friend and his friends are busy today and can't give me a ride home. On top of that, I already told the guy who drove me here that I had a ride. I'm not about to walk 17 miles back." I sighed.
"And what about the bus?" He asked.
"The bus that takes me closest to who's house I'm going to arrives around 2pm." I sighed yet again. Nothing seems to be going my way. "You wouldn't happen to have a car would you."
He met my question with a shaking head, making me sigh once again.
"...Let's go out to lunch and learn more about each other. We're about to be flatmates so...I don't know, I don't have a better plan." He said, looking out the window.
I complied, and a few minutes later we were walking down the street talking.
"So, what do you do for work? And how do you manage to afford that house geez, looks expensive." I laughed a bit and I could tell he was smiling behind the face mask.
"I can tell you about that later, but I have some media influence." He replied curtly. It was a rather plain answer, but I assumed it was for some good reason and shrugged it off.
"What do you want to do for work?" He asked, turning to me.
"I'm glad you asked. I post covers on YouTube, not that I get many views, and also love writing. Poetry is one of the only things keeping me going right now. So, I guess I want to write music." I said with a small laugh. "I also have my psychology degree, but I don't know if I'll ever use it."
He nodded, and we continued are walk, eventually stopping at some random fast food place and ordering, sitting down at a nearby table to wait.
We sat in silence for a moment, before Will tried striking up conversation again. "Opinion on video games?"
"Valorant is life, duh." I answered, rolling my eyes. "I main Jett but I'm also pretty good with Astra."
"Oh that's really cool. What gun do you use?"
"I'm a god with a Marshal, what do you play?" I asked.
"Depends I guess." He said, avoiding the question. I didn't push it, figuring that he'd tell me eventually.
Eventually, after a lot of talking, I checked the time and found that it was almost time for the bus. I said my goodbye and walked to the bus stop, barely catching the bus.
About an hour later, and I was back at Phil's house.
