chapter 6.

Aurora's POV
~ { Ω } ~

We continued the Q&A with Phil and George in the discord call.

"Where were you born?" The robot asked.

"Bend, Oregon."

"Favorite color?"

"Pine green."

"How did you and George meet?"

"Ooh something interesting." I said, readjusting in the seat and rubbing my hands together. "Ok, George was 19 and I was 18. Fresh out of highschool, and guess what I was doing? Playing video games, taking a gap year to be lazy. Right?" I started looking over at the chat to see what people were saying.

"There was this game we played, that I will not disclose, that connected discord to your in-game account and if you knew what you were doing, you could find anyones discord through it. George was my teammate, this was before in-game vc's existed in this specific game."

"But yeah George basically hacked his way into finding my discord but it's fine cuz we won that round." I said, smiling. I left some parts out, but they didn't matter.

"Do you like anyone?"

"As friends, yes. Romantically, no. My romantic attraction is a bit different so," I finished my sentence with a single thumbs down.

"Sexuality pt 2? You don't have to give us an answer but please,"

I rolled my eyes, snapping my hand and pointing a finger gun at the camera before quickly retracting it again.

"Where did you live before Britain?"

"Sagle, Idaho. Small town, only about 6,000 people. Everyone seems to know everyone, it's basically right next to Sandpoint. I've honestly never seen the ocean up close, other than from the roads here." I said, nervously laughing.

"Wait, actually?" Will asked, turning to me.

"My family weren't ones to travel." I smiled, looking at him but not meeting him directly in the eyes. Truth was, my parents loved traveling, I just never wanted to go with. It's too late to go with them now...

"Ok guys!" Will clapped his hands together, speaking to chat. "Aurora still has furniture to build, so we're gonna go do that! Let's see...oh! We'll raid Niki, send our love." He smiled as he pressed the "End Live" button, making sure he was no longer live, before hanging up the discord call.

"Alright, something's up." He said, turning to me. "Are you ok?" The question surprised me, to say the least. My new roommate was asking if I was ok.

"Yeah, thanks." I said, smiling and getting up. "I'll be building furniture if you need me."

Before he could say anything, I walked out, needing to be alone.

Will's POV
~ { Ω } ~

I watched her go, and couldn't really do anything about it. Sighing in defeat, I turned back to discord where I had been pinged relentlessly.

She looked so sad when she mentioned her family, I figured I should just end the stream, sorry.

I had some messages from George as well, but I ignored them, too preoccupied with my own thoughts.

"Sad about her family, Phil's words about her family, something that should never happen." I attempted to put the pieces together, thinking up a few theories, but I decided to stop poking around.

I heard a knocking at my door, getting up to answer it. Of course, I was met with Aurora.

"Help, I'm too weak for IKEA." She scoffed. I couldn't help but laugh, and went to help her.

"What time is it?" She asked, causing me to look at my phone.

"7:29, I can order us some pizza." We had been building her furniture for a while, only getting her desk, bedframe, and bookshelf built.

Once we agreed on a pizza, I ordered it. As far as pizza goes, it was only mediocre, but food is food and we were starving. We said goodnight soon after dinner, heading our own separate ways to be alone.
