"Studying sucks." You whined. "Can we take a break?"
"You took a break five minutes ago." Ana deadpanned. "Besides this test is a big part of your grade."
"I know but this is boring, it doesn't even matter anymore if I'm failing the class."
"It does matter, if you want to stay in high school for the rest of your life you can fail the test if you want then."
"I don't wanna stay in high school forever. I wanna graduate and play for some big softball team one day."
"Then study."
You groan, "Fine."
Having Ana study with you is the worst thing that can happen, besides getting kicked off the softball team. Ana has advance classes and helps you whenever you have to study, you've thought about getting a new study partner but there's no one else who would willingly study with you besides Kiyoko. Even then she's worse than Ana, her patience with you scares you with how calm she is.
"What if I get my dad to help me study?" You asked Ana.
"Do you wanna stay in high school forever?" She raised an eyebrow at you. "He barely made it out."
"If he barely made it out he can help me barely make it out then."
"He doesn't even have the time to help you study, with him being with the boys and watching over the shop he wouldn't have time to help you study. Plus when he gets home he always goes straight to his room to rest, then he does the same thing everyday."
"Right," your voice trailed off, "and he has to take the boys to a training camp soon so he can't help."
"Exactly." She pointed at you. "So you're gonna have to deal with me until the day of your test."
"But I don't wanna!"
"You sound like my little sister when she doesn't get her way."
"Don't compare me to that demon."
"Then continue studying and I won't compare you to her."
"You don't have to tell me twice."
"It's my tenth time telling you."
"Shush, I'm trying to study."
She rolled her eyes as she went back to her own notes.
