"Hey coach?" You walked over to her.

"No you can't stay in the game after you get hurt." She answered without hearing your question.

"I wasn't gonna ask that, I was gonna tell you that I'm quitting softball."

"What? You're our best player, you're like a sister to most of your teammates."

"I know but I wanted to go back to playing volleyball, I can't juggle two things at once."

"Alright then, you take care stop by the field to visit every once in a while."

"Okay." You smiled at her then walked off.

You walked to the gym with a huge grin on your face. Your dad will finally love you the way he used to, he'll finally see that you are more than what he told you. As you neared the gym you heard shoes squeaking on the floor. You pushed open the doors and walked over to your dad. "Hey dad." You spoke up.

"Y/n?" He turned around. "What are you doing here? Don't you have practice?"

"Not anymore, I quit."

"Why?"

"I wanted to come help you coach, you're getting old."

"I'm not old, but you didn't have to do that."

"I wanted to, the boys aren't doing good with you as their coach."

"I coach them really well, I don't need your help with anything. You should go back to softball."

"But you told me to come back to my roots so here I am."

He sighed "Fine you can help me coach."

You grinned and hugged him "Thank you! I won't disappoint you."

"You never disappointed me to begin with." He cleared his throat "Everyone gather around! I got some news!"

The boys stopped what they were doing and gathered around the two of you "Y/n will be your new coach. Don't worry I'll still help, but she will be your permanent coach."

"I did not say that I would be permanent, I'm just doing this until I graduate."

"Come on Y/n you should be our permanent coach!" Kageyama yelled.

"No Tobio I won't be permanent." You sighed. "I'm just your coach until I graduate after that I won't coach."

"Is this really a good idea coach?" Sugawara asked. "You know since Y/n and Kiyoko are dating."

"No," Your dad shook his head "but we could always use a helping hand around here."

You rolled your eyes "You boys should get back to practice, if you have any questions for me ask after."

"Yes coach!" They yelled getting back to what they were doing.

You cracked a small smile "I could get used to this whole coach thing."
