The carnival || (Hunter)

*Hunter's POV* ~

there was no school today due to a PTA meeting with principal bump or something like that and I was pretty happy. I had the day to relax, play some music, probably read some boo- "HUNTER" luz interrupted while slamming my door.

"there's going to be another carnival!" luz said "it didn't seem to go too well last time" I said "yea but that's besides the point, this ones going to be great I can feel it!" luz believed. I rolled my eyes then she got me off my bed and took my hand and we ran down stairs.

when we walked towards the door I could see eda and king "finally ready to go?" eda snarked "yea I just need to-" I replied but soon got interrupted "good. Then let's go"

eda, king, and luz flew on owlbert while I went on rascal. I never really liked carnivals though I've only been to one carnival but still it seemed pretty stupid. "We're here!" King yelled. We all got off our palismen and I could see king and luz jumping up and down in excitement "Me and king will go wonder off and check out the carnival wanna come with?" luz said as she let out her hand. "No I'm fine! I'll probably go get a trolldog or something like that" I replied.

Luz looked a little upset but ran off with king I turned around to see if eda was still here but she wasn't. She probably went to go get some apple blood or something like that. So I decided to walk around the carnival I was still pretty bored until I heard something behind me.

"HEYY HUNTER!"

huh? I turned around to see emira and edric "oh hey! what a coincidence seeing you guys here" "me and edric were going to go to play some carnival games, wanna come with?" emira insisted. I didn't really have anything else to do so I guess so. I nodded my head and we all started to walk around for a bit until emira spotted a game.

"We should so play throw the skull" emira said while running to the stand me and edric followed her while we watched emira looking at all the prizes she looked so eager to win. Edric turned his head to me and whispered in my ear "watch her miss all of the bottles" me and him both started laughing while emira was gazing at the stand.

"step right up! step right up! knock down all of these bottles and win a prize!"

emira turned around to edric and let out her hand, he took out his wallet and gave her some snails. She then gave the guy the snails and he gave her 3 skulls "you get three shots to hit the bottles, win and you get a prize"

Emira had a huge smile on her face, and threw all the skulls, she missed every one. "Shocker" edric said sarcastically once he said that emira stomped on his shoe "oh shut up." emira said with an angered look on her face.

"Step aside while you watch me win a prize" edric said while he lightly pushed emira to the side. He gave the guy some snails and was handed three skulls, and Surprisingly he actually hit all of them.

"congratulations kid! which prize would you want?"

"uh can I get that red stuffed animal, the bird." edric said smiling. He then turned around and handed me the stuffed animal "what?" I said all confused "it's yours! it kinda looks like rascal so I won it for you" when he said that my face went red.

"oh no do you not like it I can switch it out if you want!" he said in a panicky tone "no no I love it, thanks" the fact that he got it for me made me feel so special.

"hello?! I'm still here" we both turned our heads to see emira just standing there "oh yea.." we both said. Emira rolled her eyes and noticed another stand "oh my god we should totally go there! this time I will not lose." she said I turned my head to edric "is she always this competitive?" I said "no she just really likes carnival games for some reason" he said while laughing a bit.

"Oh I really need to go to the bathroom real quick, can you hold this real quick? I won't take long I swear" I said while handing edric the stuffed animal "oh yea sure!" I walked to the bathroom and if I'm being honest I didn't really need to use the bathroom I just needed some space to think.

Edric is giving me so much mixed signals it's making my head hurt. I know that we're friends and that he sees me as nothing more than a friend, but still. After thinking things out I finally got out of the bathroom to see edric waiting for me.

I looked a little confused cause I thought he was keeping emira company "what happened to emira?" I said with a confused look on my face "she took off with my wallet to play more of those rigged games" we both laughed "we should really go find her" he said while we both walked around "Oh and here's your stuffed animal" he said while handing it to me I was going to say thanks but then we both spotted emira.

"DID I REALLY JUST WIN?! REALLY?"

yup. that was emira, she looked so excited for her prize she wasWhile the guy was a getting her prize, Me and edric walked towards Emira to see what she was getting. Her smile soon faded when she was handed a really small stuffed animal "OH COME ON"

"nice prize em!" edric said while holding in his laugh "I officially hate carnivals." emira said while me and edric started to burst out laughing.

we stopped laughing for a second and looked up "Woah it's getting pretty dark" edric said "Yea I wonder where luz is.." I said. I'll admit I was pretty worried cause every time I leave Luz by herself with king they always cause trouble. "Well I'll go find luz, king, and eda" while I was waving edric a goodbye instead he gave me a hug and at this point I was practically a tomato.

he pulled me away and waved me a goodbye later edric and emira were gone. Now I needed to find Luz, I walked all around the carnival searching for her. While searching for her I could see something in the distance running towards me..what even is that?

"HUNTER!!!"

Oh. It was everyone I was pretty glad cause it didn't really take that long to find them, As soon as they caught up to where I was standing they were all sweating and exahausted. "Uh..." "don't even ask."

we then got on our palismen and flew back to the owl house. Once we arrived I immediately went to my room, I was pretty bored so I got on my scroll and was looking through penstagram. While scrolling I saw a photo with me, edric and emira.

When I saw the photo I literally fell off my bed, rascal jumped out of my bed and started pecking my head I honestly hated when he'd do that but it's whatever, I honestly could not wait for tomorrow cause I was finally ready to tell principal bump about what track I wanna do.
