Grom Pt.1 || (Hunter)

*Hunter's POV*

I woke up today with rascal pecking my head per usual, I set him down on my nightstand and noticed something. This was actually the first time Luz never woke me up. It was pretty odd but I didn't think much of it and got up off my bed.

I was still tired so I decided that I should splash some cold water down my face to wake me up, I opened my door quietly and started walking to the bathroom while walking I could see eda and king sleeping on the couch. I didn't wanna wake them so I tip-toed to the bathroom instead. Once I arrived I saw hooty's head popping out of the window.

"GOOD MORNING HUNTER HOW ARE YOU?"

you've got to be kidding me. He started asking me a lot of questions and random stories about his life. I felt like I was loosing my mind in that bathroom, I splashed some water on my face and got out of that bathroom as quickly as I could. I went back to my room to get my clothes all done and ready and I surprisingly still had time left before school started.

Me and rascal got out of my room and went down stairs. Eda and king were still asleep, but no sign of Luz she usually goes to amity's house a lot but always comes back. I went to her room to check if she was in there, and once I opened the door I saw that Luz was ASLEEP.

are..you..KIDDING ME?! I put my bag down and started shaking luz aggressively to wake up "We're going to be late to school!" "school?..SCHOOL?!" she said in a panicked-tone she then got up immediately "why didn't you tell me?!" she yelled I rolled my eyes and she pushed me out so she can get ready.

Me and rascal were waiting in the living room for her to finally get ready and it was pretty awkward since the house was really silent. A couple minutes later luz slammed the door and grabbed my hand and we both ran out the front door.

Hooty wished us a good day at school and we both hopped on rascal, I'm pretty sure we still had some time left before school. Once we arrived I got off rascal and turned around to see luz looking really tired. Her hair was a literal mess so I started to pat her hair down since it was all over the place "what are you doing?!" "your hair is a mess you cannot go to school like that" "pfft okay..mom" we both started laughing and then we both heard the school bell.

"we should probably go before we get detention" she said while laughing a bit "is it really that bad?" I replied "I've seen things..." "okaaay then.." we both started walking inside the school and as soon as we got inside we went our separate ways. Before going to class I First had to go to principal bump's office so I can choose which track I actually wanted. I was pretty excited cause I've been stuck in the bard track for a while and it just wasn't my cup of tea and I was so ready to finally leave that track. Once I arrived at principal bump's office he looked shocked that I was here and not in class.

"Hunter? Shouldn't you be in class." he said with a frown on his face "oh uh yea I was just asking if I could change my track! the track you gave me just wasn't working out.." I said "hm..alright then which track(s) would you like?" he asked "construction, potions, and illusions!" he nodded his head and gave me my new uniform and wow I looked pretty good if I don't say so myself "okay..run along now!" he then put me to my class and if I'm being honest I actually started to enjoy class a little more.

the cafeteria

after a finishing a couple classes it was finally lunch and I was starving. While I was walking someone tapped my shoulder me from the behind I turned around to see edric "I haven't seen you all day!" he said with a whiny tone as he went in for a hug "you do know it only has been a couple of hours?" "still!" he let go of me and we both started walking to the cafeteria "you know you should totally sit with me, emira and her friend today if that isn't a problem?" "oh yea sure!" we walked to our table and sat down.

"heyyy hunter!" emira said with a huge smile on her face "oh hey!" As soon as I said that the girl who was sitting with us turned her immediately looked at me "hello I'm on viney nice to meet you!" she said as she let out her hand for a handshake I took her hand "nice to meet you too I'm hunter" I replied.

"oh did you guys hear? grom is happening tonight." emira said "yea I did sucks for whoever is grom queen" edric said laughing a bit, "oh hunter isn't this your first grom?" he continued "yeah it is but I heard a lot about grom tho" once I said that the bell rang.

"awe. I guess I'll see you three at grom?" viney said as she got up "yea of course!" emira replied. We all got up and emira and edric took off I was pretty excited my first grom, I remember luz telling me her first grom wasn't that good so I'm just hoping mine is different.

after school

*Edric's POV*

I was pretty nervous about grom all day, Last year's grom kinda sucked cause me and emira were stood up, but I guess we still had fun at the end. This year we'd actually have a group to go with instead of it always being just me and emira. I was waiting for emira and viney to get out they always take a long time to get out of the school, I don't why tho.

After a couple minutes of waiting I just gave up on waiting for them and walked home myself, I really hated walking home by myself It kinda sucked. I arrived at our house and once I opened the door I could hear viney and emira talking with eachother in the living room. "oh hey ed" emira yelled they went home..without me? "oh hey, I thought I was walking home school with you guys today?" I said "I'm sorry we genuinely forgot that's okay right?" I nodded my head and went upstairs.

I was kinda mad but I can't hold a grudge forever I guess. I brushed it off, and I sat on my bed I was really bored so I went on penstagram. While scrolling I saw emira's carnival picture with me and hunter. Weird she never told me she posted that atleast she got my good side, I looked at who liked the photo and saw that hunter liked it.

Hunter has a penstagram? I clicked his username and was going to scroll through his page. Would that be weird? Yea that would be weird..I thought about it for a second and started scrolling through his page.

The pictures he would post were mostly him and luz just goofing around as scrolling. Grom was soon so I put down my scroll so I can get ready. Hopefully this grom would be better than the last..
