They days spent with Harriet were ones for Newt to remember for a lifetime. Though, he was upset that she didn't get to go to their camping trip.
Holden was having issues back at home so she decided to fly back as soon as possible. They spent a week together and Newt was thankful for every moment of it.
Saying goodbye was hard, but actually leaving was harder. They wanted to stay together as long as they could, and then she was gone.
That was about two weeks ago. Newt showed Harriet around, taking Tommy with them so they wouldn't get lost in the streets of New York. They did a lot of messing around and Newt took Harriet to school with him.
Now, Newt was packing his bag to go camping tomorrow. They were going to take a train to the state line, where Athe's grandparents would pick them up.
Thomas sat on the windowsill, watching his boyfriend pack. Newt was wearing his hoodie and a pair of joggers. "Have you ever been camping?"
Newt looked at him, zipping up his bag. "Once, when I was seven." Thomas had told him what to bring before he packed. Him and Chuck would go on camping trips with his uncle, Stephen, every couple of months.
"Then, I'm going to make this the best one you've ever had."
Newt smiled at him, putting down his bag by the door. "Nice view," he said to him, trying to embarrass the blonde. "Bloody hell, Tommy!" Newt looked at him, a blush rising on his cheeks and to his ears.
"I'm just saying the truth!"
Newt walked over to his bed, sitting down with his back turned to the brunette. Thomas laughed, jumping down from the window. He sat with his back pressed against Newt's.
"Hey Newt?"
"Hm."
"Are you mad?"
"No.."Thomas got up and sat in front of him, tilting his head up. Newt was blushing with his hands covered by Thomas' jacket. "Why would you say that?" Newt asked, trying not to slip a laugh. He was so embarrassed, even if it was Tommy saying it.
"You think it's funny," Thomas said, seeing pass the mad persona Newt tried to put on. "No, I don't!" His face got redder and his lips were in a tight smile.
Thomas kept eye contact with him, breaking away the persona piece by piece until Newt was covering his face and laughing. "See, it was funny."
"Maybe a little bit.." Newt said. Thomas tilted his head, his brown hair dropping in one direction. The boy slowly moved Newt's hands from his face. "Hey."
"Hi," Newt whispered. Thomas smiled at him, then leaned in, pressing his lips to Newt's. It was a short and sweet action but it didn't fail to make Newt's insides like butterflies.
When Thomas backed away, he was met with a small smile and a blushing boy. "You always get me, don't you Tommy?"
"Yeah, I do." Thomas laid back on Newt's bed before motioning his hands towards himself. "C'mere."
Newt laid down next to him, engulfed in his arms. "I'm so tried from school," Newt yawned. "Good thing we're leaving tomorrow morning."
Thomas didn't get a response because Newt was already asleep. His phone started to ring a couple feet away from him, making Newt stir.
The brunette stretched his arm to grab the still ringing phone and answered the video call. "Hey Minho," Thomas whispered, putting his finger to his lips. "Is he sleeping?" Thomas nodded.
