Damien
He rushed her to the infirmary, knowing no one would be there, but needing her in a place she could get help.
“Colten, it’s done. Tell everyone to clean up. I need you. Emelia…she’s unconscious,” Damien mind-linked.
“I’ll be right there. The doctor is in with the servants, so I’ll go let them out too,” Colten responded.
“What’s wrong with her?” Elliot demanded.
“She exerted a lot of energy and her body couldn’t take it all at one time. She’ll be fine; she just needs to rest and to see the pack doctor,” and somehow Damien knew his words were true.
“I’m not leaving her side until she wakes up, Alpha,” Elliot stated.
“Good, because I need to go make sure Nicolai is completely dead. Stay with her and wait for the doctor and my beta, Colten, to come,” Damien ordered.
“What about me?” Regn asked.
“I suggest you go round up the Blade and admit to them you were wrong. You played a huge part in how fucked up this got, and they have a right to know,” Damien was stern, but Regn didn’t say anything as he left the room.
It didn’t take long for him to reach the battlefield, his eyes searching for the one person who made all of this happen. Elliot hadn’t lied when he said that the corpses looked burned. It smelled like scorched flesh of the undead as he walked over dead bodies. Wolves were all gathering the bodies and putting them into a pile, readying them to be burned.
All of the vampires seemed to be officially dead and Damien was about to give up when he heard a cough. His eyes focused on one charred body – Nicolai. He silently thanked the Moon Goddess that she gave him the treat to devour his enemy. Heat blisters covered his body as well as ash and the sight gave the wolf a grand sense of pleasure.
“You sure are one sick son a bitch, you know that?” Damien chuckled with no humor. Nicolai’s eyes opened and widened when he saw the alpha.
“You can’t summon angels twice! How did you get them here? Why didn’t they fight like last time?” Nicolai demanded.
“They probably wanted to get it over and done with and kill you once and for all,” Damien snarled.
“Well they didn’t,” Nicolai chuckled, “But that’s where you come in, isn’t it?”
With a swift kick to Nicolai’s skull, Damien made the vampire groan in pain, “That was for looking at my mate naked. This is for killing all those innocent humans in Ethiopia,” he stomped on his chest, breaking ribs, “And this is for thinking you could beat me,” with his foot on Nicolai’s chest, Damien grabbed onto the vampire’s head and pulled with everything he had. Nicolai screamed in a terrible pain, but Damien responded by twisting the body part. The head ripped off and was thrown down on the ground, the expression on it was finally lifeless.
Before leaving the body, Damien spit on it, closing a chapter in his life that had haunted him for so long.
“Damien, get to the infirmary, now,” Colten’s voice sprang into the alpha’s head.
