Chapter 1: Hero in Residence

I always liked stories where the hero doesn't know they're destined for greatness. The sort of heroes who are living their lives and assume that nothing exciting will happen to them..

Those are the kind of heroes in this story.. they started out as a bunch of friends in a treehouse, looking up to their idols who had come before..

But when evil struck, and an evil monstrosity threatened to destroy the world, those friends proved that heroes can come from the most beginnings..

They traveled the world to battle that monster, facing obstacles and sacrifices every step of the way.. it wasn't easy but they had each other.. and working together, they struck it down and saved everyone..

Soon, they became the first famous people in the whole world.. and their legend, their fame just continued to grow as they explored more worlds.. venturing into the great unknown..

"And that's how those heroes, including the bravest pig in the world, took their place in history as some of the greatest heroes who had ever lived..", Lukas finished reading his book to his friends. Jesse and Jess were both happy to hear the story, especially with Olivia and Axel visiting their new town, which just finished its building. The only people who weren't there with them was Nikki, Jesse's and Jess' little sister and Petra. It's been five years and a few months after the wither storm's defeat and in those five years, the Order stayed close to each other but eventually and slowly went on their own separate paths.

Olivia nudged Axel, who was about to fall asleep during Lukas' presentation of his new book.

"Ah! Woah! Huh?!" Axel suddenly jointed back away. "What part are we at? Am I being awesome?"

"We thought it was great, Lukas!" Olivia grinned. "Although.. not always technically accurate.."

"Yeah, I mean, I did definitely exaggerated here and there but.. it was for the drama," Lukas answered.

"I mean, it made US sound cool and that's a good thing", Axel agreed.

"Yeah, but it might make people think we did stuff we didn't actually do!", Olivia protested.

"It's all fair game if it's helping you to tell a good story", Jess beamed. "It's not like you're lying to like.. trick anyone"

"Yeah! That's exactly what I thought", Lukas grinned.

"If you're planning on adding semantics, we should talk though", Olivia told the both of them.

"I- think I'm okay.. i had been hoping to get it ready to read at Founding Day but, uh.. next time"

"I can't believe it's founding day already!", Olivia gushed. "It sneaks up on me every time!"

"Congrats buddy, I'm proud of you for finishing it", Jesse congratulated. "That took a lot of work!"

"I'm glad you liked it, you and Jess did so much.. you're both a real hero..", Lukas replied, leaving a warm smile on both the siblings faces

"But we all did, right?", Axel spoke up.

"Yeah, we ALL were there!", Olivia agreed.

"For uh, most of it anyway..", their big friend half-lied.

"That's true, erm..", Lukas stammered

"They, c'mon guys, we all did it together!", Jess implied as she stood up. Jesse stood up as well.

"Exactly, we're the Order of the Stone after all!", he added. Lukas was motivated by this and grinned as he wrote it down in his book.

"That's a good note, though, I'll keep it in mind for when I'm editing", he noted. "Well, this has been really helpful feedback, guys.. once Ivor and Harper get back from their adventures, I can add a chapter about them.. and then it'll finally be done!"
