Overview: Your suspicions about Simon are brought to reality and you decide to try and warn Negan.
So much shit had happened to you. To everyone, since the Saviours made their debut.
The few days that passed caused your anxiety to go through the roof. You kept thinking between what would happen to Negan and Rick if they ran into each other.
Gabriel wasn't doing so well. He had gotten sick and one of his eyes became infected. No one was quite sure how it happened but it did, so you had to deal with it.. You didn't trust Dwight at the start but as he was helping your group, you started to feel more at ease around him. Though, you weren't too keen on how Negan would take it if he found out.
Simon took charge of the Sanctuary and, after what Negan had told you after his encounter with Jadis, you knew he wouldn't let that slide.
When you and Negan arrived back at the Sanctuary, Negan had followed your advice about not killing Simon straightaway, much to his distain. But you noticed that Simon had changed; it was a shame, because in the beginning, of course Simon intimated you. But he began to grow on you after some time. You had to push those thoughts and memories from your mind since you found out that Simon had "teamed up" with Dwight to try and kill Negan, who Simon thought was unfit for being a leader.
Upon learning this, you found yourself rushing to Negan's office and as you burst through the door, Negan looked up at you in surprise.
"Negan!" you huffed, trying to catch your breath. "You better come quick!"
Negan seemed to trust your words as he rose from his chair, put on his leather jacket, and picked up Lucille off his table to follow you down the hallway.
"What the fuck's going on?" Negan asked, waiting at the exit door for you.
You jogged up to the door and stopped in front of Negan. "Simon's out in the courtyard with some other Saviours." You paused for a moment before continuing. "Dwight just told me: They're coming to kill you."
Hearing your words, Negan's eyes intensified and he turned around to go back down the hallway, leaving you confused by the door. "Where are you going?" you called out.
Negan stopped before the hallway corner but didn't look at you when he spoke. "Simon trusts you, right?"
"Yes, but..." you stuttered.
"Then go outside and meet with him", Negan continued. When he finally looked at you, you were more confused than ever. "You trust me?"
That was almost an impossible question to answer; Negan had done so many terrible things to your people... but he had kept you safe. Plus, you'd lost all trust towards Simon. You considered his question and nodded sincerely.
"Then do as I say. I won't be long." With that, he disappeared around the corner, leaving you to ponder on what he meant. You put your hand on the door handle and exhaled, hoping that he knew what he was doing.
You knew that Simon wasn't aware of your suspicions towards him, so he trusted you and thought you were with him and Dwight on the plan to kill Negan. When he saw you descending the outside stairs, he smiled brightly.
"Hey! I was wondering when you'd get here!" He raised his arms out, excitingly.
You nodded at him to continue his debriefing. Dwight and a few other Saviours that you had been around were in a small formation in the courtyard, listening to every word that Simon delivered. It was clear he was serious about the whole plan. You positioned yourself next to the dumpster bin and leaned against it."So, we're going to do this as respectfully as possible," Simon said. "The big man's done a lot for us and I think he deserves to go out nobly."
You were paying close attention to the rest of the group, noticing the fact that they were taking in every word that came out of Simon's mouth. Dwight, however, knew that you weren't with them and you knew the same about Dwight.
