6. Our Paths May Meet Again!

A few months later...

6 months had passed, and the progress by Triana, Tinker and Yukina had not much made. Tracks from the viper kadachi had started to appear lesser around the locale.

"I'm sorry I couldn't help much. I thank you for your hospitality." Yukina said, bowing.

"No problem! If a problem happens again like this we'll call you over." Hooper said. Yukina smiled.

"Oh yeah! I almost forgot!" Lara then took out something from her pocket and gave it to Yukina. Yukina looked down at what Lara had gave her and smiled.

"Thank you Lara, I won't forget about this gift." Yukina said before walking to Bazaar, who was looking at a wall.

"Ready to go, Bazaar?" Yukina asked, petting Bazaar's head. The bazelguese turned its head towards Yukina. Yukina smiled once more before getting onto his saddle.

"Welp, I hope our paths may cross again!" She said, before Bazaar took off into the misty sky. The three stared as Bazaar slowly disappeared from view. Suddenly, they heard a familiar voice behind them.

"Hey guys, what'd I miss?" They turned around and saw Cory, accompanied by Zay.

"Introducing........drum roll please.........CORY!!!" Zay announced enthusiastically, stepping aside and holding out his hands, towards Cory. Lara ran towards Cory and hugged him, happy.

"Good to have you back, Cory." Hooper said, smiling.

"Now that the two lovebirds are now together again, I'm gonna go cringe at it now and find Flanker."  Zay said, before putting on a cringe face before smiling. He immediately ran off to find Flanker, probably trying to steal more fish from Zay's chest. Cory smiled and turned to his group.

"Well then, now that we are back together, shall we celebrate?" Cory asked cheerfully

"Just this once for old time's sake." Triana said, smiling.

"CHEERS!!" They all yelled happily, doing a toast. They were at the gathering hall celebrating Cory's return.

"How long has it been since we've been like this, aye?" Hooper said enthusiastically. They laughed together. Tinker, Zay and Sean [or as I like to call their group, the TZS] looked over at their general direction.

"Man, they're having a nice time." Sean commented.

"Of course, you dummy! What else would they do, aye? Go on an expedition? Cory's poison thing just recovered!" Zay yelled, with an obvious look on his face.

"Yea, Mr.Obivous, that's clearly not something that they would do." Tinker jokingly said. Zay stared at her menacingly and angrily.

"Oh you wanna go, ey? Ya wanna feel my fists punch your face, ay?!" Zay said, raising his fists and punching the air before smirking. Tinker chuckled.

"Oh Zay." Tinker said, smiling. The TZS conversed, laughing and chuckling at each other's jokes.

"Meowster! We've got a quest to do!" Recon yelled, running towards Sean on all fours with a piece of paper in his left paw. Flanker and Bellavia were right behind Recon

"Another one? At this hour?" Sean asked, looking at his palico.

"Meow, yes. A troubling one." Bellavia answered, calmly.

"Well dang, guess the TZS is on the hunt again at an ungodly hour like this!" Zay said , triumphing his fist.

"Besides, we can't really just decline it. If it's us, we can do anything!" Tinker said enthusiastically.

{except for me and my laggy wireless keyboard}

"Well, no quitting now." Sean casually said, unpropping himself from the wall. They  immediately headed to the departing gates.

{There are three departing gates. Two in the main area and one in the gathering hall.}

The night was lively so far, due to the chatters of hunters. The TZS left to grab some extra zenny and complete the quest they were given since someone stole their zenny and spent it all on armour upgrades.

Meanwhile...

Hoarfrost Reach was extremely cold today due to a blizzard happening. Something was glowing inside a nearby cave, hidden from hunters. Inside, there was the Sapphire Hunter, along with the viper kadachi, Razor. He was watching her cook fish over a bonfire that the hunter made. Her sword, the Donnerzahn+, was propped on a wall not so near to the entrance.

'It's been a pretty blizzard-y night. I hope it clears up soon so we could get more food.' She thought to herself as she watched the fish slowly cooked over the dancing of the fire. Razor cuddled her, purring {ig? Idk if they do so imma do that lol}. She smiled and petted Razor.

"Borealis, you better not mess up on the fish again." She told herself, as she stared at the fish.

Back to the TZS

"Jeezus! A quest during blizzard season?! Gosh, the commission's crazy!" Zay complained.

"You're right on that, my guy. I can't see anything!" Tinker yelled, accidentally bumping into Zay.

"They should've focused on the weather more...." Sean said.

"If Sean's complaining then that's a bad thing!!" Zay yelled, casually being blinded by the blizzard.

"Well, like I said, if it's us, we can do anything!" Tinker said encouragingly.

"Not the time for that now, Tink! We're suffering!!" Zay yelled, sounding like he's in agony.

"We better head back to camp and regroup." Sean suggested.

"GOOD IDEA SEAN!! OUR WINGDRAKES DEFINITELY WON'T DRAG US TO THE WRONGEST AREA POSSIBLE!!" Zay yelled.

"Well, we better complete the quest."

"THE QUEST WAS PICKING SOME RARE STUFF, SEAN." Zay angrily yelled.

"It pays a lot." Sean said.

"Good point, we definitely need the zenny for stuff." Zay agreed.

"Good, now let's go gather stuff and we'll be back soon." Sean said.

"Stay together! We might accidentally separate ourselves!" Tinker yelled out.

"Right." Sean said. The three continued their quest, disappearing into the blizzard completely.

{ouchie, my fingers hurt. Anyways, enjoy this ig, I better go back to watching my anime now, maybe play some boblox because the only thing I played this afternoon was minecraft, lol. Though, I do have lots of free time tomorrow because of something happening there so I might stir up two chapters for this. Maybe for the other stories, as well. Sorry, was just typing some things.
