7.Another Problem To Fix

The next day...

"Where are those three?" Cory asked, after noticing they weren't anywhere in Seliana. Hooper, Cory and Triana were in the gathering hall, at the cafeteria.

"I checked their rooms and they aren't there!" Lara yelled, bursting the doors open into the gathering hall, running to the cafeteria.

"That's strange...normally, Zay and Sean would be here with their palicos while Tinker helps around the armory but now they're basically missing." Hooper said.

"They might've gone for a quest last night." Triana guessed.

"During a blizzard?! But why?!" Lara asked, shocked.

"Might've been the commission, they always do crazy stuff like that." Triana guessed once more.

"Oh man, now I'm starting to think the commission is even more crazy!" Cory exaggerated.

"Calm down Cory. They might've gotten lost in the blizzard but they might be okay so-."

" 'Might' isn't a good word for people that might have DIED!" Cory yelled.

"Cory."

"Alright, they might be alive." Cory said.

"Well then, let's go on an expedition to find them." Hooper suggested.

"Hooper, we can't find tracks after blizzards!" Lara yelled.

"Hm, well then.." Hooper thought for a bit, before a voice called out.

"Heyyy! We might be able to help you, meow!" they turned around and saw Flanker, along with Bellavia and Recon.

"You can?" Hooper asked, confused.

"We know the Reach like the back of our paws! Of course we'll be able to find our meowsters!" Flanker flexed.

"Meow, yes. Flanker is right about that." Bellavia said.

"well then, now that we have more help," Hooper turned to his team. "Let's find the TZS!"

Later....................AAAAAAAAAAAA-

The group reached camp via wingdrake after a while. Cory had to carry all the palicos so when they reached the camp, the wingdrake came tumbling down with them!

"Owwww......" Cory groaned. Lara helped him up, and Flanker was just straight up squashed by Cory.

"Oops. Are you okay, Flanker?" Cory asked, concerned.

"I'm fine!" Flanker said, immediately getting up.

"Oh, phew! I thought I squashed you. Sorry.." Cory apologised.

"It's fine! Besides, we've got meowsters to save!" Flanker said, taking the apology.

"Alright. We'll follow the palicos until we find those three and take them back. They might have gotten hypothermia from the blizzard. Got it?" Hooper planned.

"Got it." The group said. They headed out, after drinking some hot drinks, that is.

Despite the after-blizzard, popo were still grazing in the snow.

"Where could they have gone?" Lara asked before thinking.

"I know where they might have gone to." Recon said.

"Where is that, Recon?" Lara asked, with a bit of excitement in her voice.

"Hmm, if I remember correctly, they were gathering some account items for extra zenny due to someone stealing theirs and using it for armor upgrades." Recon said.

"Huh, where do you think they might be?" Hooper asked.

"well, Area 13." Recon replied.

"Makes sense. There are a bit of hot springs over there." Hooper agreed.

"Welp, let's head over there without getting suffocated by wulgs!" Cory encouragingly said, with a nervous chuckle. the others looked at him, confused before heading off.

"Hey, wait for me!!" Cory yelled, running after them.

After more walking because I was too lazy to describe them going there....

The group finally reached Area 13 but however, the TZS wasn't in sight.

"Recon, they're not here." Hooper said.

"Huh. My calculations were wrong." Recon said.

"Well, they should be somewhere!" Lara said, confused.

"They might've been covered in snow somewhere away from Area 13." Hooper remarked.

"But where? Where-." Triana was then cut off by the echoes of screams of agony.

"What the?!" Cory yelled in confusion.

"It's probably them! Let's go!" Triana said, before running in the direction of the echo. The others followed Triana. They kept running and running till they reached Area 6, where they saw the TZS confronted by a viper kadachi approaching them. Sean was on the ground behind Tinker and Zay, passed out. Tinker was trying to find her sleep coatings used for the arrows, fumbling in the process. Zay was trying to attack the viper kadachi but failed to because it kept dodging.

"HURRY UP, TINKER!!" Zay yelled, jumping back. and calling back his insect.

"I AM!!! JUST BECAUSE I'M A BOW USER DOESN'T MEAN IT'LL TAKE 0 TIME TO FIND COATING UNLIKE YOU, A INSECT GLAIVE USER!!" Tinker yelled back. Zay kept attacking, also trying to mount the viper kadachi in the process by thrusting himself up into the air with the glaive. Sean, on the other hand, was covered in poisonous quills. Cory clenched his fists in anger, with Lara noticing. Suddenly, Cory dashed towards the monster clutch clawing onto it. He took his great sword and hit the monster, charging the sword up and tenderizing the tough...skin? Scales?

{Yes, you can charge up energy with some weapons to damage monsters, even when you're mounting or clutch clawing}

The viper kadachi yelped and backed off, angry. Cory's eye flashed to red.

"Why not pick on someone your own size?" Cory monotonely said, but with a bit of anger. The viper kadachi quivered before running off, scared. Immediately, his eye flashed back to blue.

"Woah, Cory. Since when did you learn how to do that?!" Zay asked, amazed. Cory turned his head to Zay, then to the direction of where it ran off.

"I don't know." Cory replied.

"What do you mean you don't know?! That's definitely something you know!" Zay yelled. Tinker tapped Zay's shoulder. Zay looked at Tinker, who was pointing at Sean's unconscious body.

"Oh yeah." Zay said before cursing in wyverian.

"Woah, Zay. Language!" Cory said.

"Sorry." Zay muttered. The others rushed over, Flanker jumping onto Zay, hugging him. Bellavia walked over to Tinker, staring at her. Tinker smiled and caressed her head, Bellavia purring in response. Recon ran over to Sean.

"We gotta get mew meowster to Seliana!" Recon yelled at the others. Hooper ran over and picked up Sean, carrying him on his back. He whistled for a wingdrake and immediately grappled on once it arrived. The others did the same, Zay and Tinker's palicos jumped onto their owners except for Recon, who jumped onto Cory.

A few worrying hours later or smth idk....

Recon was staring at Sean, sitting on the bed's edge.

"Recon, you're gonna fall you dummy!" Flanker reminded him. He just stared at Flanker before looking back at Sean, shifting himself away from the bed's edge a bit.

"He seems genuinely worried for Sean." Tinker said, worried.

"No worries, he'll be fine! Besides, it's kinda like what you said. 'if he can do it, anyone can!" Zay reassured her. Cory and the others left, except for Recon, Flanker, Bellavia, Tinker and Zay.

"You're right..we should leave Recon be for a bit. Those injuries inflicted gave Sean a coma....it's unlikely he'll awaken." Tinker said, doubting herself for telling the group to not bring much as they'll also be gathering some stuff. She also told them that there'll be an unlikely chance of any monsters appearing, besides a banbaro so they didn't pack any antidote or herbal medicine. She gripped her thumb extremely hard.

"It's okay, Tink! It's not your fault, it's that son of a-." He cursed in wyverian again.

"You're right. It's that viper kadachi's fault. But, then again..." Tinker gripped her thumb more harder.

"Tink, stop that you're gonna make your thumb fall off!" Zay said. Tinker looked at Zay before ungripping her thumb.

"I need to leave." Tinker said, before making a beeline for the exit, Bellava following behind. Zay stared at Tinker before looking at Flanker who was staring at Recon who was staring at Sean.

"Cmon, Flanker. Let's go back." Zay said. Flanker looked at Zay and ran to him before they left.
