5.The Substitute

Hooper has called for a group meeting in the canteen in the gathering hub this evening to discuss about Cory and the substitute.

"Good evening you two. Now, we are here to discuss about something important." Hooper said.

"About Cory almost dying from poison due to not packing antidote or herbal medicine?" Triana asked.

"Exactly. And today, we'll have a substitute for us. Specifically, Tinker's sister. She'll arrive at Seliana tomorrow." Hooper said.

"Wait, Tinker's sister? The rider girl who saved the world from oltura?" Lara asked, amazed.

"Yup. She'll be joining us as a substitute for Cory. Due to living in Lulucion, she knows how hunters work so she'll have no trouble getting along with you." Hooper said.

"I can't wait to meet her! She must be interesting!" Lara said excitedly.

"So Hooper, why a rider?" Triana asked.

"Well because of the recent incident considering Cory." Hooper replied.

"Hm. Okay." Triana said.

"Now then, go get some rest. We'll have to be up for the rider's arrival." Hooper ordered before leaving to his room. Lara and Triana also left to their rooms and get some rest.

The next day....I think this should've been more interesting considering the fact its the same-

The three were near the gates of Seliana, waiting patiently for the substitute to arrive. Lara yawned, a bit tired. Tinker arrived at the gates, excited. Triana turned her head to the extremely excited fashion hunter.

"You heard bout your sis?" Triana asked.

"Yeah! Heard she was being the substitute for Cory for about 4 to 6 months so I immediately came here! She should be around.... Oh I see her!" Tinker pointed out, pointing at something. Triana looked and saw a girl riding a bazelguese. The bazelguese landed on the bridge and jumped off and petted the bazelguese.

"You're a good boy today, Bazaar!" She said, smiling. She had blue hair with pink highlights and a hairstyle similar to a nargacuga with blue makeup similar to a cat and wore Kulve Taroth armour.

"Hey sis!" Tinker said, rushing towards her and hugging her.

"Hey sister! It's been a long time." The rider said, chuckling.

"Where's Ratha? I thought he was accompanying you today." Tinker asked.

"Oh, yeah, Ratha. He's still traumatised from being caught by hunters and controlled by a rogue wyverian so he's not here today." she answered.

"Awwww, I haven't seen him in a long time! Though, I'm glad he's fine." Tinker said.

"Ahem, Tinker?" Hooper said, causing the sisters to direct their attention to Hooper.

"Oops, sorry! This is my sister, Yukina!" Tinker introduced her to them. Yukina smiled and waved.

"I'm Hooper. This is Lara, our handler and this is Triana. Now, do you know why you're here?" Hooper asked Yukina once he finished introducing them to Yukina.

"Yes. I heard that your teammate has been terribly poisoned by a viper kadachi. I'm terribly sorry for your teammate and I hope he can get better." Yukina said.

"Well then, you'll be paired up with your sister and Triana and will set out for an expedition in hoarfrost reach to learn more about the missing Sapphire Hunter. Since you have more experience on riding monsters, you'll be in charge of studying their behaviour." Hooper ordered.
