9. Wings Of The Black Eagle

A few months later.....

Everything in Seliana was going well. Sean, however, was still in a coma but interacting with Allison in his mind. Everything seemed well but except for one guy....or you could say, a girl.

"Hey, have you noticed Tinker? She's been...acting weird lately." Cory asked the group, except for Hooper because he was accompanying Ruby and Tommy to a quest about a tempered Vaal Hazak recently appearing in the rotten vale.

"Yeah. She's gotten more quiet ever since Sean's coma." Lara said, quite concerned.

"I can agree with Lara." Triana said.

"Do you guys know where she is? I just want to visit her." Cory asked.

"If I'm correct, she should be in her room since I never saw her leave this morning." Lara replied.

"Thank you, sweetheart!" Cory said. Before leaving, he pecked her on the cheek and went to Tinker's room. Lara just, faints and Triana sighs in disappointment. Cory made his way to Tinker's room after a few months of not visiting. However, when he reached her room, the door was...slightly ajar. Cory was about to knock when he heard Tinker speak.

"Jeez, these wings are making my back uncomfortable." Cory stopped himself and peeked through the open door. Tinker was inside, not wearing her layered armor. She was wearing Radobaan armor Alpha+ but without the helmet. All of a sudden, rattling was heard from the back of the armor and immediately, wings broke loose. It didn't have any feathers at first but started to rapidly grow.

"Darn, it happened again. That's why I prefer layered armor more. Now I need to get this repaired!" Tinker complained, before walking down some stairs. Cory entered and saw a lot of birds but barely any butterflies. He saw one fly towards him and he held out his hand. It gently landed on his finger before a blue diva swooped in, grabbing the butterfly and eating it. Cory was shocked but kept his composure. He walked over to the viewing area near the stairs that leads to downstairs.

"Tinker, am I interrupting something?" Cory asked, his voice echoing through the room. Tinker looked up and saw Cory before saying something in wyverian. She seemed...panicked.

"Tinker, what's wrong?" Cory asked, concerned.

"Get out! Now!" Tinker yelled. Her wings were raised up.

"Calm down! I'm not gonna reveal the fact that you have wings to everyone in Seliana!" Cory said.

"You're not?" Tinker said, calming down. Her wings closed.

"Yes, I promise. Now tell me, why do you have eagle wings the size of..." Cory looked at her wings again before just trying to figure out which kind of monster fits her wing size.

"Why do you have eagle wings the size of a very small great girros?" Cory asked. Tinker looked at them before gripping her thumb.

"Well, I was born with them." She answered, still gripping her thumb.

"Woah, cool! I was also born with this camera face!" Cory said in amazement while pointing at his face.

"Huh. I always thought that was a layered armor." Tinker said.

"Trust me, it's not." Cory said. They conversed for a bit before Cory left to help the ecological team. After much walking, he reached them and saw Jerry reading a book. Bloom was just sorting some of the books but something seemed a bit....off about him. He had dark circles under his eyes and his hairstyle was a bit messier than usual.

"Is Bloom okay?" Cory asked, once he noticed. Jerry looked up from his book and looked at Cory.

"Well, he's not, really. He's been spending a long time writing the book of all the monsters in the new world and the guiding lands. He's been tired lately. I just hope he could get some rest while I help with the majority.." Jerry said, clearly worried for him.

"Well then, why not ask him to stop?" Cory asked.

"I can't. He keeps saying he's fine but I don't think he is.." Jerry said, about to break down.

"It's okay. Once he gets rest, make sure to take care of him, kay?" Cory comforted Jerry.

"I think I need some time alone.." Jerry said, closing his book and immediately briskly walking away. Cory tried to stop him but told himself not to. Jerry was walking to his room, which he shared with Bloom with tears rolling down his cheeks.

"Heyyyy, Jerry!!" A familiar voice called out. Jerry immediately brushed the tears off and turned around, seeing Iris.

"Oh, hey Iris." Jerry greeted her.

"I've been practicing my wyverian lately, wanna hear?" She asked excitedly.

"Sure." Jerry said, smiling. Immediately, Iris started to speak wyverian. It wasn't smooth but it was great.

"Wow Iris, you've learnt a lot about wyverian." Jerry said, surprised.

"Thanks! I've been practicing super hard! Well, I better find a quest to do. I accidentally spent it all on my armor again." Iris said, chuckling.

"Now that you mentioned it, the armor looks very different." Jerry remarked.

"Yeah, made from blackveil hazak! Smells a bit weird though but eh, might wear off." Iris said.

"Yeah, it might but maybe you should consider on using nulberries more." Jerry joked.

"Hehe, good one!" Iris said before waving goodbye. Jerry waved goodbye before going back to his room. He immediately entered his room and shut the door and turned around, breaking down. He sat down in front of the door, crying as he laid his head into his arms. He was very worried for Bloom and his mental health.

"Why....why can't you stop and take a break for once?" Jerry said, between sobs.

Meanwhile, in Sean's mind....

Sean was pretty annoyed by Allison. The white haired opposite would always try to annoy him and succeed.

"Can you stop it?" Sean snapped, still floating in the white void. Allison simply giggled.

"You know I can't annoy you forever. If you really want to leave, you'll have to face your nightmares." Allison reminded him.

"Yes, yes I know." Sean said.

"Or you could wait a year." Allison said, with a smug smile on his face. Sean groaned, and Allison hugged his back.

"I can wait~." Allison said.

"You're even more annoying than boaboas." Sean commented.

"Hm. So you don't want to face your nightmares early." Allison said with a flat tone. Sean sighed and turned towards him.

"Fine, I will." Sean said. Allison smirked.

"Good choice, Sean." He said before disappearing. The void shakes and something appears in front of Sean. He clenched his fist and had a serious look on his face.
