Ohm was running in the middle of the traffic leaving honks and curses behind him. As a detective of the Bangkok Police he knew it was wrong to do this, but one of his duties was also to chase after the bad guys and currently, the sick bastard was exactly trying to hide from him in the chaotic mass of vehicles.

It was supposed to be a common hot day like any other in the city. Ohm had left his messy condo around 10 am and went to grab a coffee in the stall at the corner of the street, but when he was about to take a sip, someone bumped into him, spilling the drink on his shirt and running away without a single apology. He was about to brush away the fact from his mind, but then a lady came after him screaming that the guy was a thief who had stolen her purse and got away with it.

"Well, let's do this!", Ohm said passing his coffee to the lady to hold it for a bit. "I'll be right back, please wait right here, call the Police and tell them the detective Ohm Thitiwat needs backup!"

Then the detective started his run. The naughty thief was slender and smart, hiding between cars and almost getting away from his sight. But Ohm was pretty experienced and fast, making it hard for the bad guy to baffle him.

The man entered a street Ohm knew was a dead end, and that gave the detective a little break to catch up his breath again. He leaned with hands on his knees panting hard and remembered that when he applied to be a detective one of the reasons was trying to avoid this kind of activity that was more likely to happen to police officers. At the same time, he could never in his right mind see someone as a victim of a crime and do nothing to help them just because it wasn't his job anymore.

When his breath was regular again, Ohm entered the narrow alley walking cautiously and soon covered his nose and mouth with a hand. The place's smell was nauseous and hit his empty stomach hard. He saw the man in the dead end of the street like a mouse desperate to get rid of the cat close enough to attack it. However, his reaction wasn't the type Ohm was used to seeing from a criminal about to get arrested. The man was in a complete state of desperation: sweating hard and widened unfocused eyes. He had a lot of training and experience in this area, all the evidence was pointing to something else.

"Maybe he has psychological problems...", Ohm thought to himself trying to approach the man without startling him even more. The thief was wrong and was about to pay for it, but it wasn't necessary to put him into unnecessary danger if he really was incapable of measuring his own acts. As a man of the law, it was also his duty to protect those. It was the government and society's fault that these kinds of people don't get the correct treatment and end up getting into problems not only for the rest of the citizens, but also for themselves.

"DON'T GET ANY CLOSER!", the man yelled at Ohm as he held the woman's purse close to his chest.

"Hey, hey! Calm down, sir!", Ohm showed the other his empty hands as a peace offer, but his gun was ready to be used under his coat if anything else failed.

"D-DON'T COME C-CLOSER!", the guy repeated stuttering and moving his neck in strange positions, almost like it was boneless.

"Please, sir! I need to ask you to stop moving like that or this may cause your own harm! I promise you'll be escorted to a professional assistance for treatment if this is necessary.", Ohm tried to ease the guy with his firm, yet gentle voice tone.

"So do you know about the voice too?", the man scratched an ugly scar on the left side of his face. "You know that I'm not alone, right?", he widened his eyes in anticipation of the detective's answer.

"If there is someone threatening you to steal things from people, I'm sure the prosecutor will find a way to lessen your punishment! See? I'm gonna help you as much as I can!", Ohm smiled briefly at the man.
