Ohm felt distress taking over his senses when a ping indicating a new message arriving on his phone made itself heard on the almost empty Police Station. It was the weekend and he was supposed to be at home resting, but everything was so confusing on his mind he decided to work some extra hours.

The thing is: since the day Fluke fainted before his eyes trying to lock the demon inside the amulet, Ohm started to ask himself about the whole demon hunt mission they were into. Fluke avoided the topic like his life depended on it, being firm to ignoring his questions about the ritual and why he felt so weak after it. The weird behavior made the detective feel unsure and worried.

However, he wasn't anywhere close to the place to confess he was in fact scared for the demon's safety, so he decided to go to work and leave Fluke alone at their apartment.

"What the fuck? It's MY apartment!", he yelled at his own thoughts. Luckily no one was at sight to watch his little outbreak.

Taking a deep breath, he unlocked his phone only to face another unreadable message. Since he left home earlier that morning Fluke kept sending him incoherent messages consisting of groups of random letters which he couldn't figure them out. Now at 10 am, he had collected 21 notifications practically shining on his message app, showing his contact didn't stop for a break. The last message was the most random of all them.

The detective sighed at the weird text and decided to call Fluke.

"Hey, what's up with the random messages? Can't you type properly?"

"No, too lazy!", Fluke whined on the other side of the line.

Oh, that's right. Since they woke up that morning and Ohm informed the demon about his plans for the day, the latter showed exasperation at his decision, saying he was "too tired to do anything and how could a defenseless underworld creature survive without any help?", to what the detective ignored -- not effortlessly -- the other's pleading eyes, grabbed the car keys and left without a word.

"If you're this tired to do something productive, why do you keep sending me messages?! Go take a rest or whatever!", Ohm scolded him again.

"I can't, mundane! That's what I said in the last message!", Fluke replied weakly, but still grumpy. Ohm almost could see the wrinkle marking the smaller male's forehead like there was a thread knitting his eyebrows. It was kinda cute to see that expression on his pretty face.

"... too lazy to do anything, please come back home and feed me!", the other explained his message, almost catching the detective off guard, too immersed in his daydreaming.

"Alright! Since you're a kid who can't use the microwave or even order food on the app, I'll come back home to cook you something!", Ohm indulged the other's wishes just like that and the realization made a warm sparkle be felt inside his chest. It was very strange, but also welcomed.

"Yay, finally! I'm gonna wait for you for lunch. Please go to the grocery store before coming home and grab a few things I'll list you now!", Fluke was talking excitedly, making a thin smile appear on Ohm's face. Not that he knew about it.

"Ok, ok! Now talk slowly or I'm not gonna be able to buy everything you need!", Ohm said scratching a few words in his notebook. Right after the information he had gathered about Kai, their last suspect, was now a groceries list anyone would bet it was for a 5 members family to spend in a month, but probably wouldn't last more than a couple of days between the famished demon and the mundane who wasn't on a diet either.

Ohm was walking slowly between the aisles trying to find the exact type of sauce Fluke asked for, but with no luck. He knew by previous experience that buying anything different only would make them argue for an hour without results.
