S was comfortably sitting at a chair displayed in the middle of the room. The place was richly decorated with fine taste from the pretty red tone of the walls to the carpet with tiny details forming a maze pattern made with golden thread. The demon was the definition of easiness, drinking something from a glass in one hand and playing with a strand of their wavy hair with the other.
Fluke, by the other hand, had his wig poorly covering his real hair, messed up makeup and was panting hard. Still, a vision to be appreciated just because the hunger in his eyes and his filthy raccoon style were so attractive. If Ohm was there, he would probably whistle to the sight, which made the demon wince in pain and hear a call from reality. He had left his partner behind, there was no room for jokes anymore.
"Let's get straight to the point, S!", he yelled between breaths, catching the other's attention like it was the first time the demon had noticed someone beside them in that room.
"Oh! Hello, Fluke! Long time no see!", S replied unbothered by his urgent tone.
"If you truly had missed me, S, you should have come for a visit!", he smirked at the fake invitation coming naturally out of his mouth.
The demon let out a laugh with too little humor and stood up, resting the glass on a table next to the chair previously occupied. "As funny as usual, my dear! But I had something to do first, if you've heard about it!"
"Yeah, yeah, I've heard you're hurting innocent mundanes!", Fluke spat through his teeth, making a huge effort to maintain his cool after remembering his sweet friend Pine's passing.
S started to walk around the room with their usual pace just like a model teasing the audience, but still managed to look as impressive and threatening as a snake ready to attack its prey. "Since when do you mind about them, Fluke?"
"Does it matter?", he closed his eyes to prevent a tear falling from his eyes, but his trembling eyelids gave away his nervousness.
"It should matter, Fluke! You know what I'm doing, stop playing games!", S said, quitting their cold mood for the first time in their conversation. Now they were facing each other, or better saying, S was facing Fluke who still kept his eyes shut. The action made the suited demon combust on the inside and they grabbed the thin chin to force Fluke looking at them. Staring inside those blank eyes brought to Fluke memories from a time he wished he was able to forget.
It didn't need too much time at Hell or the planes above to understand that every living and not living creature had their destiny previously written by higher deities. They didn't care about the creatures' feelings, only about fulfilling their wishes about life and death. They treated the underworld and mundane creatures as their pawns in a much larger game any of them was capable of noticing the beginning or the end.
However, a group of demons started to feel the unfairness of that sick game and started a riot. They promoted gatherings among the ones unhappy with this kind of treatment and were ready to take control of their own lives. Even if it was their fate to be condemned to go to Hell again, they would gladly accept it, as long as it was also their decision on how to live their lives before making mistakes and becoming sinners.
Unfortunately, the deities discovered their plan and started to chase them. Five of the leaders got to escape, but the Sixth of them was forced to catch and bring them back to Hell again. It wasn't hard to connect the names to the roles in this story and this made S pretty resentful towards Fluke.
Fluke was a high level demon and really respected. When he decided to join their movement, it was enough to convince other underworld creatures that still had doubts about it. Between the evil they already knew and the possibility of trying something new, they all agreed to take over the power from the merciless hands holding them back.
