Stoick finds out

This is one version of how I think Stoic finds out that Hiccup and Astrid are dating. I may have a few other versions later in the book. Hopefully you like it.  Today's quote:

(Takes place in Wings of War Part 2 (RTTE S5 Ep9). )

"Hiccup!" a voice behind Stoick and Hiccup shouted. They turned around to see a blue and yellow Deadly Nadder by the name of Stormfly. The sun was reflecting of her scales while her rider wore a concerned expression on her face. 

"Astrid! You had me worried." Hiccup said as Astrid dismounted. 

Astrid threw her arms around Hiccup's neck as he wound his arms around her waist. They held each other close, afraid that if they let go the flyers would come back  and tear them apart. Hiccup pressed a gentle kiss on Astrid's cheek. When she felt this, Astrid whispered in his ear "You did it. I'm really proud of you."

"I should be the one who is congratulating you. You fought when you knew there was a small chance that you would succeed. You really are a warrior."

"Thank you. I always will be. But you took a crazy risk with that plan. Be glad I haven't killed you yet."

"I'll take my chances" Hiccup said before placing a gentle kiss on her lips. Astrid smiled through the kiss but pulled away reluctantly. Hiccup frowned but pulled away none the less. 

"What's wrong?"

"Krogan has a new sidekick and you are not going to like who it is."

"Tell me later. Right now we have to explain our behaviour to my dad."

"Ok. But what if he doesn't like us dating? What if he thinks that I am not good enough for you? What do we do then?"

"We figure it out like we always do. Remember, there will always be a Hiccup and Astrid, Always." Hiccup said leaning his forehead against Astrid's. 

Astrid took a deep breath and said "OK". 

Stoick had been watching his son and Astrid and was glad to see them so happy together. But he frowned a little bit when he heard Astrid say that she thought that he might not like the two dating. Why would she think that? Stoick didn't know why. He loved seeing his son so happy.  Stoick pushed that thought aside as the two came towards him hand in hand. 

"So, you two are dating then?"

"Yes chief."

Stoick's face broke out into a massive smile. 

"Finally! I've been waiting for this since the battle with the Red Death. I don't think that Snotlout will be very happy. He had his heart set on wooing Astrid and marrying her."

"Nope, he wasn't but he'll find another woman to pester. He tried Heather until he found out that she likes Fishlegs." Astrid replied. 

"Well I am glad you two are happy. Just remember, no killing my son please. He already has enough people that are trying to do that to him. I can't believe my son has managed to land such a beautiful Valkyrie. I'm really happy for you two. Now if you will excuse me, Spitelout is boasting that he was the one to beat the flyers whereas it was you son who came up with the plan. He only helped  " said Stoick before walking off to see if Skullcrusher was alright.

"See, I told you it was going to be fine."

"Don't push it. I'm tired after the battle and I need to tell you what I saw. Tell everyone to go to the clubhouse please. I'll meet you there." Astrid replied and gave him a peck on the lips before running off.
