Sunday, 2:12 am.

ANDREW: Ya. Are you awake?

ME: It's 2 am.

ANDREW: What are you doing?

ME: What are YOU doing? Go to sleep.

ANDREW: Playing monopoly with my family. My sister brought it from her dorm. You should come over and play with us.

ME: It's 2 am. I'm exhausted. No.

ANDREW: Ha! Fighting isn't an easy job.

ME: Yes. Okay. Goodnight.

ANDREW: ...

ME: What.

ANDREW: You're such a frank texter. Usually it's guys texting one-worded replies.

ME: Sorry. Again, I'm tired.

ANDREW: Hey...

ME: Yes?

ANDREW: What if you die in my nightmares again?

ME: It was just a nightmare.

ANDREW: Not for me.

ME: How so?

ANDREW: Just... so.

ME: Don't mock me or I will come over there and beat all of you in Monopoly.

ANDREW: I'm. Not. Haha. Goodnight!

It was official: I had to back out on this date. The scattered clothes that laid around, the various palettes on Lina's desk, and me, worrying about the date, had to foreshadow a chaotic mess.

"I don't have any clothes to wear," I threw another black shirt on Lina's bed. "How does someone not have a suitable dress for a date?"

"You could try on one of the few you didn't return?" Emma offered as she sat on the ground.

"Those aren't date dresses, and not beach dresses, either! I need to dress casual, but not cute. And the stupid dress she has from last year will only remind her of the date her mom set her up with last year."

"Okay, we need to stop panicking."

"Of course I'm panicking!" I snapped. "An outfit defines image and class. It's the most important thing!"

"This isn't a gala," Emma frowned. "You don't need to wear something in case a reporter or someone follows you, or to establish some dynamic. It's about how you feel and look in something, because you're going somewhere you want to, not to shake hands. And this is Andrew, remember. In terms of Lina—"

"I don't want to talk about Lina right now." The thought that I asked him out as Lina made my mood turn sour.

"Sohee..." Hesitance in her voice. "I think you should tell Andrew who you are."
