Under The Sunset..

5. Coming back

Just when she finished thinking, she saw that it is sunset...

She counted the sunsets, they were too much in number. Somehow she kept of waiting, waiting for Alex to come back.

-Who is that woman approaching our house?- asked Thaila

-Oh, that might be the woman I was talking about, that sends us the notes.- said Andreas

-Hello. I have a note for you. Miss Ashford sent you a note.- said the woman

Ashford? Why is her name Ashford, why isn't it Stark, like mine? Oh wait, so that nobody would know she is actually part of our family. That is really clever.

-This is probably the note I am waiting for to read.- said her father

"Andreas, my love

Tomorrow morning I am coming to our little house, yes, I am running away. I can't keep on looking at the poor people that get hurt for having freedom or being themselves. If you agree, I think we should take a war against the king. I have a plan, but I don't want it to get leaked. I will tell you when I come home.

-She is coming! She is finally coming! After such a long time...- said Andreas, full of joy

Thaila's heart started beating very fast. She will finally meet her mother again and hug her for the first time. 'Oh, how we would run around together, how we could play in the river, all, like a family.'

The night went really slow. Thaila couldn't sleep from excitement, so did her father. They were all so happy that they will finally all be together as a family. Thaila would go outside and watch the stars. Her father taught her about the stars when she was younger. Her favorite of all was Capricornus or Sagittarius, since she was born on 21th of December.

-Wow! For the first time I see Orion! It looks so beautiful!- whispered Thaila to herself

-Watching stars are we?- asked her father

-Yes! Look over there, there's Orion!- said Thaila pointing at the constellation

-No! Don't point at stars!- said her father

-Why?- asked Thaila

-Just don't, that's what a lot of generations have been told.- said Andreas

-Okay, okay, I will not point at stars anymore.- said Thaila

-Good, now go to bed, you should get some rest so you would have energy for tomorrow.- said her father

-But, I can't sleep!- said Thaila

-No buts, go to bed now.- ordered her father

-Okay, fine.- said Thaila, going to bed

She couldn't sleep. She tried so many times to sleep, tried methods her father told her and finally, the last one worked, she fell asleep. The sleep really relaxed her, gained her power and energy. She had an amazing dream too. It was about all of them together, her whole family. They were all together close to the river, her mother cooking the fish Thaila and her father caught. After their lunch they went in the river and swam together. It felt like a fairytale...

-Come on dear, wake up.- said a female voice

-W-What? Oh no, I forgot to wake up early to go and take mother's stuff.- said Thaila barely conscious

-It's okay dear, your father already took care of it.- said Colette

-Mother!- yelled Thaila, finally conscious

-Oh my dear. I missed you so much!- said her mother while hugging Thaila

-I've missed you more!- said Thaila while hugging back with tears running down her soft pink cheeks.

-Okay, all good. But did you forget about me?- asked Andreas with a playful tone

-No, of course not. Come here.- said Colette freeing one hand and opening it

This was the dream she wanted to come true. The dream of her with her parents, all hugging each other. That felt so unreal, like she was still dreaming. She finally thought that they can be a happy family, but little did she know, they were in a bigger danger, without any one of them knowing how serious that was...
