~2 days after Colette came home~

It was a beautiful, sunny morning. The birds outside were quietly singing, but still loud enough to wake Thaila. Her bed was right next to a little window, her bed few inches away from the front door's frame. It was a nice morning, her parents sleeping on the opposite side of the room, peacefully but quietly snoring.

Thaila got up from the bed, holding one of the hands on her head and groaning.

"Ugh, what a nightmare" Thaila said quietly, not knowing that her parents are still sleeping

She had a quiet voice, so her parents didn't hear her.

"Oops!" whispered Thaila when she saw that her parents were asleep.

Thaila looked at her parents, peacefully sleeping. This really was a dream-come-true. The only dream she had right now is Alex, coming to her house, visiting her, them smiling and running around the woods.

"Good morning sweetheart" said her mother, hugging her from behind

"Oh! You scared me a bit. Good morning, how did you sleep?" asked Thaila

"I slept well, thank you, how did you sleep?" asked Colette

"Err, it was alright, but I had a nightmare." answered Thaila

"Really? What was the nightmare about?" asked her mother

"You know, about Alex, the boy I told you about. I had a dream, we were in a war when he got shot, right in front of me. He was slowly dying in my arms. It was horrible!" said Thaila when her eyes started to tear up even when she explained her nightmare.

"Oh lord! That surely is horrible, but I have a question.." said Colette with a smirk on her face

"Go on" said Thaila not understanding what she meant

"Do you really like him?" asked her mother

"Mother!" said Thaila while laughing

"What is so funny, come on tell me I want to laugh too." said Andreas

"Oh you know, just a women talk." said Colette, facing her daughter and resting her hands on Thaila's shoulders.

"Yes father, you won't understand anything." said Thaila trying to change the topic

"I will, I am smart." said her father

"I don't really remember it that way the times we were at school." said her mother

"I was smart, the teacher didn't like me." lied Andreas

They were all laughing when Thaila decided to ask..

"Mother when can I go to school?"

"Soon honey, soon. As soon as this king gets thrown out of the throne, we will go to Lion City. I have a shop there, but I have few other jobs also. We will send you to the school there, it is only for rich people, but I've got a lot of money there!" said Colette

"Amazing! But, that may be for a few years or decades." said Thaila

"I don't think so, you'll see" said her mother

The day went really fast. They talked, went around the woods, made lunch, when Thaila saw that it's sunset..

"Oh my god! I forgot that it's sunset!" jumped Thaila from her chair

"Relax honey, we are already outside. If he comes here, we will be able to see him." said her mother

"Oh, yeah..." said Thaila sitting back on her chair

~about ten minutes later~

"Do you think he will come back?" asked Thaila

"I don't think, I know that he will come back. If not at least the guards will have nothing else than to take him to the city, so at least you will see each other." said Colette

With that, it hit her. The flash of memories of them and how would it look if the guards took him, how they would make eye contact. She got butterflies whenever she would think of him.

"You are thinking about him, are you?" her mother asked with a smile formed on her face

"Err, sorry, what?" asked Thaila, trying to act like she didn't hear

"Don't act like you didn't hear." said Colette

"Uh, mother, please stop talking about that." said Thaila with warm pink cheeks

"Oh dear, we've all been through that, there's nothing to be embarrassed about" says Colette as she held her daughter's shoulder

"Thank you mother" thanked Thaila

"For what my dear?" asked her mother

"I don't know, thank you for being here, for actually understanding me I guess" said Thaila

"Oh dear trust me, I don't understand your feelings but I think of what you mean from those warm red cheeks" says Colette as she laughs

"Am I that red?" asks Thaila

"Yes dear, you are so red that you look like a tomato." says her mother

"Oh no, I think I might have caught feelings" says Thaila surprised

"You realize it now? Oh God honey you are just like me!" says her mother

"Is it a bad thing?" asks Thaila

"No, definitely not! There's nothing to worry about." says Colette

"Thank you mother, I love you." says Thaila while hugging her mother

"Aw, I love you too dear. Let's go to bed now, you look tired." replies her mother as she hugs her back.
