9.) "quit looking at me like that, it makes me mess up my sentences."

You were sitting in the sink, putting on some light makeup. Earlier, Sokka had asked you:

"if you maybe wanted to maybe uh- if you wanted to go...on a...date? You can pick..."

Of course, you said yes, but you made him choose where to go. You were wearing comfortable jeans and one of his hoodies (which you stole), along with your favorite pair of converse. You finished getting ready, and walked out of your bathroom to the living room, where you saw Sokka talking with aang.

"Okay, I'm ready when you are"  you announced. Sokka studied your figure and walked over to you. He looked back to Aang, who gave him a small thumbs up.

"Bye Aang! You said, giving a small wave.

"See ya Y/N!" He replied with a smile.

You and Sokka walked out of the door. He held up his hand for you to take, to which you gladly complied.

"You look...beautiful." He gushed.

"Thanks to you" you said, motioning toward his hoodie.

"I love it when you wear those. Why do you even do that anyway?" He asked.

"I don't really know...they're comfy, plus they remind me of you." You admitted, feeling the heat rush to your cheeks.

"Oh." He mumbled looking down, a smile on his face.

He drove you around for about ten minutes, one hand on your leg, one on the steering wheel.

"Where are we even going?" You asked him.

"You'll see." He said, keeping his eyes forward, a smirk on his face.

"Okayy..." you replied, returning your view to the window. You reached down and rested your hand on his, lacing your fingers together and pressing them to your cheek. He looked over to you and with a small smile and laughed.

"Alright, this is it." He said, after a bit more driving.

"Wow, Sokka...i didn't even know this was here." You gaped, staring out the window at the lengthy boardwalk ahead of you.

"I knew you'd like it." He said, walking around to open the door for you. But, he tripped on a rock right in front of the hood, so you had to get out of the car and run to him.

"I'm good!" He yelled, laying on his back, giving you a thumbs up.

"You sure?" You said laughing, reaching an arm out to help him up.

"Yeah..." he mumbled embarrassed, dusting off his clothes.

"Well then let's go!" You said, locking arms with him and pulling him forward. You walked along for a couple minutes, until you passed a pizzeria that made your mouth water.

"Ooo...let's eat here." You marveled, smelling the air.

"Sounds like a plan" Sokka said, finding a table. Once you ordered and had your drinks, you talked and laughed, just enjoying the time you had with each other. You thought about how long you waited for moments like these. You were always his best friend, and you never thought you'd be able to become anything more. But, here you were. Living your dream, with the boy of your dreams.

"Y/n..?" Sokka questioned, snapping you out of your trance.

"Yeah?" You said smiling.

"You good? You looked-...distracted."

"Just thinking." You told him.

"About?"

"You."

"Oh. Haha, that's- I- uh" he stuttered out.

"Are you good?" You asked, smirking.

"Yeah, you're just, you're-..." he paused, pinching the bridge of his nose and smiling. You raised an curious eyebrow.

"Stop looking at me like that, you're making me mess up my sentences." He said, looking towards you.

"Looking at you like what?" You felt a blush creep onto your face.

"Like that!"

"Like what??"

"Looking all...cute and stuff." He said laughing. Your conversation was interrupted by the waiter coming back to your table with the food.

"Can we get the check? And some boxes to take the food?" Sokka asked, then took your hand from across the table as the waiter scurried away.

"The check already? We just got our food!" You protested, practically drooling over the plate in front of you.

"Yeah, well, I think I just wanna take you home right now." He said with a smug smile.

"Oh? Well then I guess the food can wait."
